Time for Germany to play a striker up front.

I did not watch it cause of a wedding reception...
From the comments here I'll take it as it was something similar to what happened on a certain date in 2012... Next Tue is a must win already

Disappointing and embarrassing Germany.

To be fair, Durm plays very well for Dortmund. He needs time. The real problem with Germany was midfield. Kroos + Kramer stinks in every possible way. Not defensive enough and too slow/too bad at attacking. Also Schürrle might as well have stayed on England, Podolski would have been way better. Goetze was the best attacking player for Germany on the field. Overall... the squad fielded by Löw was too young and unexperienced, plus I think many choices were rather questionable.

Meh he just lacks experience. I don't understand why Löw pulled off Rüdiger instead of him. It would have been better to keep playing with 3 CBs anyway.

I don't think anyone was bad in particular, from this many chances Germany should have scored 3.

Absolutely. Pulling off Rüdiger instead of Durm was baffling.

I think we are looking at a long remaking of the team, without Lahm Germany may have to readapt to offensive football

Although Germany was dominant it was too predictable and slow going forward, it is hard to break through two defensive lines and Germany did so many times but a well set up team in front of their goal turns a good chance into a half chance. There is nothing wrong with holding the ball and to do that Germany moves it forward stringing passes but mixing up a few quicker counterattacks could potentially move the score line and open the game.
The first goal was 70% Neuer and 30% Boateng (forget about who lost the ball before that) Boateng was too late and Neuer was even worse. The second goal is 90% Hummels fault, what was he doing up in the midfield while Durm is struggling against Lewandoski to get the ball out?

As for Durm he obviously lacks experience for the National Team but since it looks like it is Low's choice to turn him into the owner of that position we can only hope that he continues to develop at Dortmund and makes the process for Germany less painfull. AS right now he seems to be pushed around easily at International level.

Ehm why is it Boateng's fault first goal? It was on Hummels side.. And Boateng would have never gotten there in time because Neuer came out and jumped in front of him aswell..

Interviewer asks Mario Götze if the German team is in a small crisis at the moment.

Well, if anyone puts the situation in perspective you have to chuckle.
The qualification for EURO 2016 is like a piñata: there is candy for everyone. Germany as right now has played what seem to be the 2 strongest opponents in the Group and it is 3rd in the group, once it plays the likes of Georgia and Gibraltar it should add enough points to go 2nd even if Poland does not lose a game ever again, still goes through.
Do not forget that the first 2 of each group qualify directly, the best 3rd of all groups also qualify directly while all other 3rds are not eliminated either: they still will go to a play off and what are the chances of Germany finishing out of the top 2 in this group or losing a play off against other 3rd placed teams?

Germany may not even look at 2nd or 3rd place, they have to win this group with ease..
