Oh, thank God that's over. DULL.

It was like the players had no idea what their roles were. I think Low tried to do something new to confuse the opponents, but it backfired and confused his players themselves. I think after all this time with the NT, he should know by now what works and what doesn't. The Dutch weren't that better, but they are actually in a transition period with a new coach and playing about a clearly superior squad, so you can't put that much blame on them. Plus, what's up with those last 5 minutes substitutions? How can he test a player based on a 5 min cameo in a game of the slowest tempo. All in all, there is no improvement on the tactics front as per usual standards.

Now, enough with the NT. Bring me back my Bayern!

The main problem was midfield. As in there was none. Bender and Gündogan are so not ready yet, and Holtby was completely anonymous too. I think Khedira-Schweini should really be set in stone once those two are fit again (read: can be arsed to play games).

Reading the comments, I don't mind having watched a movie with my girlfriend rather than watch this match. So, who was the least worst?

Bild describes the match as being the "Yawn summit"?

I noticed it during the match but now you can see it more clear there... What THE HELL did the guy at 00:26 do? He had a very easy pass to Robben in the center but he totally messed up the counter attack #-o

By the way, Robben had also positioned himself that way on a couple of occasions during the Frankfurt game and still didn't get the pass :|

This wk (UCL & EL free) could have been a regenerating week but instead it is NT friendly week.
The powerful clubs must speak out against such games. But hey I've forgot there are the betting co who need such games to gain more profits and ruin this beautiful game even more and more... :x [-X

Yesterdays match vindicated my earlier post above: Lack of motivation & commitment from most players on the field... Mind you I don't blame them... It was a pure waste of time and energy.
Another thing which was confirmed even more is Robben's killer instinct faded dramatically... however on + note he improved his working rate...

That's some really nice stuff from Bundesliga Fanatic (link) :D

Gerry Wittmann:

The phone call imagined, earlier this week..

Louis van Gaal: Hallo, Jogi? This is Louie.

Jogi Löw: Ahhh, Louie, how are you?

LvG: Fine, fine. We have that friendly Wednesday evening, you know….

JL: Yes, I do recall. A friendly….we hate each other (chuckles)

LvG: Yes we do (chuckles). The pressure is on here, though, after our Euro debacle.

JL: I know exactly what you mean. The four goals surrendered to Sweden last time out, yech, can I never hear the end of it? We need to shut you out or that’s all I’ll hear about all winter. Defense, defenders, mental frailty.

LvG: Yes, it’s the end of the year. Holidays coming. My guys are tired, nobody really wants to play. Huub has been texting me, “Afellay or Huntelaar, but not both.”

JL: Yes I heard from him too. ”Don’t let my boys get hurt.” I told him they’d have to play, I only got one from Bayern.

LvG: Yes I saw that….. we were lucky to get Robben. Everyone hurt, they’ll probably never win another game with all their injuries.

JL: (Laughs). Yes. I do hope we don’t hurt each other. I don’t know what everyone wants, we both lead in World Cup qualifying.

LvG: Exactly, a result would be good Wednesday, to end the year, everyone will be satisfied, Merry Christmas, no?

JL: Yes, a result. For both?

LvG: We’ll see, after all we do hate each other.

JL: Yes we do. Should I say hello to Uli for you?

LvG: He’s probably listening right now. He had someone figure out how to listen in on my phone calls when I was at Bayern. Bastard.

CLICK

LvG: He never changes.

JL: I heard that. By the way, any good clothiers near our hotel.

LvG: Right around the corner… I’ll text you the gentleman’s name and number. Call him a bit ahead of time and he will be of great help. They have a lovely selection of sweaters and scarves.

JL: Oh, excellent. A trip not wasted then, eh? And results all around.

LvG: Yes, perhaps…..In any case, I’ve got to run. I have to tutor some of my players in half an hour.

JL: Likewise. I have to take the boys to the arcade before they close.

Basically, I bet everyone knows by now that you shouldn't be passing to Robben anymore. He'll miss it anyways
