Time to try a couple of new faces? I mean no disrespect to Kazakhstan but this is a match that even a Germany B team would be heavily favoured to win.

I am for using a heavy A line-up in the first away game, secure a good win then field a B-lineup in Nurnberg in the return leg. If the result in the first leg is somehow comfortable some top guns could be dropped from the game official roster and send back to club earlier (like Ozil, Khedira or even Bastian) which could open the roster for Gotze, Kroos, Gundo and the Benders)

The big question for me is if with Klose still out Jlo will overlook Kießling once again.

Judging by his JLo's previous comments, I don't think Keissling has any chance of joining the NT setup with him as head coach. I'm sure he'll go for a striker-less formation in case he doesn't have Klose/Gomez available.

^ Not necessarily a striker-less formation. He may even go with Podolski/Reus upfront.

Squad announced.

Bayern represented by 7 players (GK) Neuer (DEF) Lahm, Boateng (MID) Kroos, Muller, Schweinsteiger (ST) Gomez
BVB represented by 6 players (DEF) Hummels, Schmelzer (MID) Bender, Gotze, Gundogan, Reus [source]

Gomez will get much-needed match practice, as he's the only striker on the list.

The roster:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Rene Adler (Hamburg), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover).

Defenders: Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Benedikt Howedes (Schalke), Per Mertesacker (Arsenal), Marcel Schmelzer (Borussia Dortmund), Heiko Westermann (Hamburg).

Midfielders: Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen), Julian Draxler (Schalke), Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund), Mario Gotze (Borussia Dortmund), Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund), Sami Khedira (Real Madrid), Mesut Ozil (Real Madrid), Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich).

Forwards: Andre Schurrle (Bayer Leverkusen); Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich), Lukas Podolski (Arsenal).

I hope that by now JLo has figured out that both Reus and Schurrle are a notch or two above the dysfuctional Podolski.

This game takes place in Nuremberg as Ballack said he got free tickets from Jogi Loew.
Michael also said only a 1 hour drive from his house in Munich so he is very happy.

Good for Toni. We need him 100% fit by the time CL returns.
