Not only the lack of Bayern players in this team but also the lack of interest of Bayern fans following the national team is the sign of the new times: although Bayern is more German than ever precisely according to the opinion of the new Bayern and the new fans.

Man... Germany fans really not showing up in Fort Lauderdale? Bummer. Yeah ever since Germany won the World Cup us Americans actually lost interest in the title winning team. I guess because I couldn't make it, I forgot to send you the memo a few of Bayern fans gathered in DC last week.

Germany has to get 6 pts from these matches...otherwise it will get very nasty...
Reus Goetze Bellarabi behind Mueller ?

That would mean leaving Özil out. And Jogi would never do that. Özil will play instead of Götze

 and if possible Poldi too.
On the other hand I was really impressed by Mustafi. Any predictions of the line up? Hector LB maybe?

or maybe Kramer for Kroos.

Jajaja by this point Löw knows Poldi is a sub, nothing more. Maybe Müller right, Özil behind and Götze upfront...again just for Jogi to fit in all the pieces. On form though Ramsej that's probably the best possible lineup. Though I'd say Ginter might play RB.

Most likely Schweinsteiger instead of Gundo since Low's idea is to build the team around the captain but I doubt that Bastian can go all full 90 minutes. The interesting part is the fullbacks: Can and Rudy are also in the mix based on what I have been reading.

Here are some pictures of the training sessions in Frankfurt:

Löw has said he doesn't need to depend on Schweini so much now. Not having Gündogan and Kroos in that midfield makes no sense, so maybe Bastian should be used as an alternative to Khedira in a 433 (which is the standard German NT formation lately).

Front line should be a playmaker/second-striker (Götze) behind two false 9s (Müller drifting *from* the right and Reus drifting *from* the left).

Backline is the tough place. Hummels and Boa in the center + maybe Can LB and Ginger RB??? Löw's going to have to take a risk there.

Löw has said he doesn't need to depend on Schweini so much now.

He said he doesn't need him in every test game. He's going to leave him out of at least some of the test games so he's fit for the really important games.

Excuse my unprofessional translation but the part of the article that talks about Bastian says approximately this: "Bastian Schweinsteiger inherited a major role after the World Cup once Philipp Lahm's resignated as captain. However the national coach wants to plan the availability of the 31 year old carefully after he transferred from Bayern to Manchester United. "As a coach I have to care" said Low. "Bastian Schweinsteiger played a lot of big tournaments for many years and there is an enormous effort behind that, maybe we do not need Bastian in every match from now on. I need him when it is important for us, when I know that he can perform taking the responsibility like no one else to win.
"Wir haben die Mission Titelverteidigung im Blick" [source]

I do not see any indication that Bastian will be dropped to the bench in a game like this, on the contrary the article points in the direction that this is the type of game where he will be given a leading role. But we need to wait and see, his fitness during training in Frankfurt will determine if he is a starter or not.

Reus will miss the game. Injured again.
