To keep on fighting what would it be?
And having more stupid deaths of innocent folk and the big boys and their families staying safe beheind their desk sending other young men to die in their name

Presumably all the terrorists were with precedents... not unknown to the state or were warned before about their possible intentions. Deal with that sort of people, like one of the first steps...

This is the second German national team targeted by ISIS (albeit it's not yet confirmed at the moment) in the space of 5 days. It seems unlikely that's it's a coincidence. The problem is that the more matches are cancelled, the more fear there will be. At very least, in my opinion this match should have gone ahead and played without any spectators.

Yes, but forthcoming Friday, Saturday and Sunday aren't too far, so as the future weekends.

MillaMjau wrote:Apparently they found an ambulance with explosives outside the Hannover stadium.

That's very, very bad news. Just as I answered to @armbrust, the situation with club level are worrying. There will be 18 teams, 9 stadiums and hundreds of thousands of people.

The same goes for Ligue 1 matches in forthcoming weekend where 20 teams and 10 stadiums are in question. :|

Thanks, I was afraid you were going to say "wipe them off the face of the planet".

How would you have handled the refunds? THe match is postponed most probably and fans will have a chance to use their tickets at a later time. Besides, letting 22 people play in the midst of a security thread is not something very desirable for the guys in charge either.

So, there was an explosive device inside the stadium and a truck full of explosives disguised as an ambulance waiting outside. They planned to kill thousands this time. Great job, German Polizei!

Where does it say it's postponed? I've only seen the word cancelled written. It's not like national teams have the liberty to plan friendlies anytime they want.

Don't want to tempt fate, but I trust the Bundespolizei to keep the country safe. Good work by them tonight =D>

I can't imagine the fans, the players, the refs, the commentators, and everyone else. They just want to see a football match and they're faced with the fact that they might being danger.
A dad can't even take his son to a match right now, such a bloody shame.
Bayern for life, I just want to see at least one game...thats all I ask

That's the part where, if you read carefully, "most probably" kicks in. Much like a commercial flight, there are penalties for cancellation, but in the order of millions in this case. So, if they could find a time to play for Robben, they can find a time to play for this paid-already friendly. But sure, it is all speculation.

A huge well done to the German police and security. Thank God they are excellent at their job as a huge tragedy has been averted. =D>

Unfortunately it seems the world champions are a target... I fear for Bundesliga games.
