Rossi 1-1 (after a save from Neuer in one-on-one) :(

Without Muller and Klose upfront we are way worse.

Goetze might be great with Dortmund, but he still needs a lot of work for NT...

The end. 1-1. A very good first half but too average in the second with Muller out.

The Dortmund lads didn't bring their club performance onto the pitch. I said it during the game and I'll say it now - Müller is intergal to pierce any defense. Göetze... not impressive. Özil started out awesome as always, but he tired by the second half when he was needed most. Klose of course scored for the NT again but just doesnt want to score for Bayern. Poldi did a decent game, just like Khedira and Schweini, they didn't take it seriously. Badstuber seemed to have conquered his poor weekend against Cologne. Neuer was great as always, pity he couldnt keep a clean sheet.

As for the italians... could they try to ease up on the diving on a friendly at least? Luckily the ref saw through all the dives nicely. The italians still remain an uncomfortable foe for the NT, but at least noone was injured, Klose got a goal and the Bayern lads performed with dignity. Pity we couldn't win, yeah, but eh, let's save the demolition for an important match, shall we? :P

But I have to point out that Hummels did very good job...for a Dortmunder :)

This was poetic...great - quick passes and before Italy's defence woke up, a deadly finishing.

I guess we are gonna have to wait who knows how many more years to shake that monkey off our backs. To me, the most obvious thing in the whole game, was how our attack was never the same after Muller got sub out. The interplay between Ozil and Muller is just fantastic because Muller's best skill is knowing when and how to run into space and it seems Ozil understands him perfectly (which was also very obvious at the WC).

I didn't agree with the changes. Goetze should have come late (80 min) into the game in place of Ozil and not early in place of Muller.

PS. Although we controlled possession I didn't see much of the lightning speed counters so typical in the WC, but I guess it's so difficult to catch the Italians on the counter.
