Very nice goal but he was a little bit scared sometimes. He wasn't MARCO REUS yet.

Yes I know ,But to play like this in your first match as a starter in the quarter final of EURO is just fantastic , specially in the firs half he was awesome and made many good very smart movements :o

I was very happy with him really

I think it's quite fair for him to start the next match

I agree, Marco Reus looked very good out there. I especially liked him early in the first half when he played a 1-2 with Klose and passed the ball to Oezil, who shot very weakly from an excellent position. Podolski would have just tried to fire a shot in, and hit a defender.

In my opinion our lineup against Italy/England should be this, based on our first four games:

-------------------Neuer------------------
Boateng--Hummels--Badstuber--Lahm
------------Khedira--Schweini-----------
Reus-------------Ozil--------------Muller
-----------------Gomez-------------------

We also get Lahm and Muller back on the same side in this way :)

I'm a bit bitter that Löw dropped Gomez for Klose, by doing that he's risking derailing Gomez and his form completely.

Klose didn't have a good performance by his own standards, and I am sure Gomez will be back in the starting line-up. Yes, there's the risk, but at least he lives in the knowledge that he wasn't the only one 'rested'. Besides, it's about time he starts to learn about the cruelty of life  It's not healthy to be scared of dropping a player because you think he may completely lose his form.

I think Muller on the right and Reus on the left would be a better option to preserve width in our play. We saw yesterday that Reus likes to cut inside, and Lahm and Muller would both be inverted wing players so it would kinda be better if muller played RM just to keep width.

Agree but with Reus Oezil and Muller changing places all the time.

Possibly, but like AvatarX said ideally they would be changing positions a lot. We've seen it both with Germany and Bayern, whenever that happens good results come.

EDIT: This one is for MUTU

let's also pray that schweini gets to his old self, I mean in the same form he was before that damned Napoli player injured him in the CL. It maybe just my impression but he isn't the same as he was then.

Badstuber: I would rather face England than Italy in the semi-finals

Everyone want that, but if Germany wants to be a euro champions, then you must win every opponent.

Specially for the times he thought he could play on the left wing! Terrible TBH. Center to right, yes, nice touches there. For a new comer, he did have one very good game; he has so much potential.

I thought Schürrle was deeply disapointing. Like someone said on the chat, he was trying way to hard to prove his place on the team. Sucked at it too. Almost made me scream 'where is Podolski?' Bugger off, I said almost.

Schweini had some terrible passes and some very good ones. He was doing almost all of the DM work since Khedira was way too forward to help. It has to be said, Bastian was not the only one with the missing glasses; but he looks like he needs some rest, fast. (Though not before he provides a couple of awesome assists that change decisive games and make all the attacking midfielders look like U17s...)

I don't think Klose had a bad game, some of his plays where very good. I actually liked his game specially on the second half. Now let us get back to our regular team, will ya? We need the CGI assisted goals back.

I think Schurrle is just a better version of Podolksi, he shoots most of the time too. He can be an effective sub though

Well, yesterday he really burned up too much and I think that's the main reason why he haven't had played glorious match, yet.

I expect Podolski in semifinals, just as Gomez back in first 11.
