Given the relative disappointment of last match(one shot in the entire second half, which is unacceptable even in a friendly) and who got playing time during it, I would play something like this:

I know Hummels should be given rest but with Boateng out there aren't very many alternatives comfortable with the ball. If he is rested, Ginter should replace him because Rudiger is just pure fail. I would normally play Rudy instead of Khedira in this formation but the reintegration of Khedira is clearly an objective.

I’d give Draxler a chance to prove himself against top opposition in his preferred position, if he has a stinker I’d bring Brandt on very early in the second half, maybe even at half time. Hummels deserves a rest after his lion heart performance at Wembley. Irrespective of the result I’d bring Timo on for the last 15-20 minutes.

I want Germany to win as always but I’d gladly take a draw. Just want Die Mannschaft to end this year unbeaten.

---------------Werner

-----Sane--------------Stindl

Plattenhardt--Kroos--Rudy----Brandt

-------Hummels---Sule------Kimmich

I'd like to see how well Kroos+rudy can dictate the game in the midfield and how Stindl could support the attacking. Using Draxler on the right wing was a waste of time last time, he couldn't help Kimmich at all.

Gotze, wagner and others could come in after the break, maybe with a 4-2-3-1

Kimmich not in the starting 11... anyone know if he managed to break the consecutive minutes played record? He was getting close.

There will be no contest between the two PSG's goalkeepers as while Trapp is to guard the goal for Germany ,
Areola on the other hand will be on the bench.

The English born Ireland players, who qualify through Irish parents and grandparents were not singing either at the biggest match of their careers. Just thought you'd be interested to know

Why does Draxler always start? He's never been that impressive for the NT and now we have Sane, a fit Gotze, and Brandt as options yet they never get a chance. Even when they do play it's never as a left winger.

Dunno what's wrong with Werner, but his finishing has been abysmal in this two friendlies. It looks like he literally can't score.

Wow, Martial did quite humiliate Suele in the opener.

Löw’s decision to start Can at RB has blown in his face. Can was responsible for keeping Lacazette onside for the French goal and his crossing has been dire, plus he has misplaced a lot of passes too.

Changes needed at halftime.I don’t want Germany’s unbeaten run to end at the hands of France, that too at home!

Gundogan hasn’t been bad but I’d bring Leroy on to test Varane’s pace.

@Manchu I know you don’t like Draxler, but he has been decent. Even created a through ball for Werner. Timo has had a nightmare so far.

He can thank Can for giving the French that opportunity...

Midfield and attack are woeful tonight.
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.

I posted that before I realized that the game had already kicked off(I'm not watching the game due to time constraints). And that is kind of my problem with him. Always decent, very rarely exceptional. A good player and not a great player in a squad full of great players. The thing that annoyed me the most is that this is a friendly and we already know how he will perform, while we have other more exciting players for his position who aren't being given a chance.
