[2010-06-13] Germany vs Australia (WC2010)

Postby AvatarX » Wed Jun 09, 2010 11:10 am

This is the first game in the world cup and a very critical one. It can give us the moral boost that we'll need and the 3 vital points...

Go Germany ! :)

2-1 for Germany

I think there's even a chance it will end in a draw. Australia are a tough and sometimes underrated team. And I think Germany will take some time to reach their prime.

Yeah, they lost 3-1 to USA!
There's no way it'll be a draw!
I know Australia will play better than they did against the USA, but Germany is still better and will win.
I'm very interested to see what the starting lineup will be.
We'll see, I keep saying this and now the World Cup is finally close enough for me to be extra excited and anxious for it to start and for all the "we'll sees" to be seen!
:D :D :D

USA is another underrated team.

Germany at their best can win the WC, but for some reason I don't think they'll be at their best from the beginning.

You bet baby!
I even think USA will shock a few and beat England!

I think England will win.

But I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.

I think that it will be 2-0 too.

Who are you expecting to play?

- Aogo, Jansen or Badstuber?
- Klose or Cacau?
- Müller or Trochowski?

As it is the first game, it's important to get all the 3 points and enter the tournament with a good feeling and vibe, building up some confidence and rhythm. Australia will put on a good fight, but Germany should come out on top.

As for the starting line-up, besides the position of the left-back, right-midfielder and central-striker, all other positions are pretty much occupied and it's clear who will start. I'm not gonna address all those vacant positions right now and elaborate my thoughts, as I wanna wait for the first impressions from the Australia game so I get a better view of how things stand and don't wanna base my point on 2 friendly games. Just this much: If Trochowski starts ahead of Muller or Marin, it's a decision Low will regret.

I also predict a 2-0, same thing i stated in Nikos's prediction game.

I believe Muller if he starts or subs will score.

- I think Badstuber will start at LB, because Jansen is probably still not 100%.
- I think Klose will start just because he is Klose and always shows up for the World Cup, but don't be surprised if he doesn't play well and Cacau comes on as a sub and plays well or scores that he will replace Klose soon enough.
- I hope Muller start as he adds a different dimension to the team and pushes the tempo, and I trust Low is definitely considering it, but Trochowski is the probably the safer pick.

Loew said
that the only unknown positions vs Australia are the LB and CF (He decided who the RM is )

But today he said that Klose is going to START VS AUSTRALIA

So He picked the RM , Announced that Klose is the CF , so the LB is still missing
