It's not completely useless; it's a warm-up for the Euro 2016 qualifier away to Georgia 4 days later.

Weidenfeller can finally challenge Langerak for the BvB GK spot. I'm guessing it will be something like 3-0 or 4-0 since Kruse is out for the season and the rest of the players are all from 2.bundesliga-like quality

Mehmet Scholl once offered a mixtape CD to Oliver Kahn. Kahn replied: Do you want me to shoot myself? Keep your crap to yourself.

I doubt it and I hope not. There's absolutely no reason for Weidenfeller to play this game. They've been talking for half a year now about giving someone else a chance. Against Spain Zieler played the entire 90 minutes, and then there's ter Stegen, Trapp, and some others. When is the time for calling them up, if not now?

Yes, you're right. In 2011, Australia beat Germany 2-1 in Moechengladbach.

Usually Neuer doesn't play friendlies; friendlies are used by Löw to give the back-ups match practise with NT.

I think Horn is too young at 21, and it's his first season in the 1st league too. I'd rather see Trapp, Baumann and/or ter Stegen in the squad. I have nothing against Zieler, he's been one of the more solid keepers this seaons (more solid than Weidenfeller at least) and he seems a nice enough guy who won't disrupt the team. But he's not what Löw and Köpke are looking for in terms of goalkeeping style. If they're looking for a long-term rather than temporary solution, they'll have to find someone different. With Leno having been too shaky and Fährmann out injured, it might well be Trapp (reportedly Köpke was at the Eintracht game on Sunday for scouting purposes), or Baumann or ter Stegen.

And no talked about the Socceroos :P

The Socceroos got an interesting squad atm, and Germany's recent games haven't been entirely convincing. I just hope everyone go home injury-free [-o<
