They use a false 9. With both Sanchez and Vargas running into spaces and the no 10 moving into the center. In defense, they press high, insanely high more than Bayern. Their front line presses the opponent's centerbacks by numbers. As we have seen with Germany vs Chile. Their attack starts from the wings and gravitates to the middle with Sanchez cutting inside.

It's definitely an interesting system that has similarities with Bayern already. The big point to me is, Germany doesn't have a wingbacks who can either help in attack then defend on the other end. And we got players like Oezil and Kroos who can't be bothered in a high intensity pressing game.

Well then drop Özil and Kroos for Götze and Schweini/Gündogan :D

Really, I think it is unacceptable for Özil to start with the form he is in and Götze, Meyer waiting for that spot on the sidelines.

Maybe Löw should give that Jantschke fellow a chance. He can do some serious damage to opposing attackers. :(

I wouldn't worry about the attackers or the defence. Tim Cahill is only good with his heading ability and Ryan is doing ok at Brugge with his performances at the Europa league. I'm feeling quite unpatriotic because I'm Aussie pride but in football, it's Germany first. I don't think anyone cares about this friendly in Australia because of the horrible time difference.

Mehmet Scholl once offered a mixtape CD to Oliver Kahn. Kahn replied: Do you want me to shoot myself? Keep your crap to yourself.

We lost against them before in a friendly ;) But this is just another useless dumb friendly where we will see another injury to a player.

Another Aussie sports team has a much bigger game later on Thursday afternoon your time, although I hear fans aren't interested in that either as the Indians have taken most of the tickets :P Apparently a world semi final has taken a back seat now Aussie rules season has started

Löw just now in the PC: Neuer is out for Australia, knee bursitis. Should be back on Sunday. Badstuber and Gündogan will probably be starting.

I won't be surprised if Löw puts Podolski on goal now.
1) He needs to find a place for him in the team.
2) Podolski will play as good on goal as he plays in other positions.

Starting XI: Zieler – Mustafi, Höwedes, Badstuber – Khedira – Bellarabi, Gündogan, Özil, Hector – Götze, Reus

Thank god, not Weidenfeller.

Probably Khedira.

From the presser I gather we're trying out all kinds of weird stuff, add this with a team composed of players who never played together before ("you'll see a national team you've never seen before"), bottom line: We're gonna lose.
