That was an exciting finish. There were some good performances, and I think that it has left Loew with more of a selection headache. Podolski seems to have played his way into the starting xi. Klose is always a threat, and probably should be in the starting xi too. Kroos distribution and 1-touch football tonight probably deserve recognition. Goetze combined magically in a close, tight play. Schweinsteiger seemed to be an upgrade on Khedira.

I've mentioned many favourite Bayern and ex-Bayern players there, but my main hope lies with a non-Bayern player. The special ingredient is an in-form Oezil. I think we saw flashes of brilliance from him and something like the old Oezil at times. I don't believe he should be benched for an alternative player; I believe Loew should keep faith in him, and he will deliver and will raise the effectiveness of the players around him. With him in form, anything is possible for Germany in Brazil - provided their defence doesn't switch off.

Well, Germany did score 6 tonight without another real striker.

I know this was just a friendly, but as walter said Podolski and Klose must start in the WC.

With Reus, Müller, Kroos, Özil, Götze, Schürrle......... we just can't score. Podolski is one of the few players in this squad who can shoot and actually score some goals. Plus he add balls to our team. I've seen him really motivated in this last few days and with tonight's performance he really deserves to start

Something similar goes for Klose. Maybe their players were really tired and that's why we scored 5 goals in the final minutes, but Klose's presence in the area made things much easier for our other attacking players. He doesn't seem in a very good form TBH but this team needs a striker and there's no other option.

And of course Özil. He is the key player in the offensive end of this team.

The MRI apparently showed a suspicion in a tear in the anterior syndesmosis

Further tests are to be done to confirm ,if the diagnosis is confirmed , Reus will miss the World Cup

So sad about Reus and feel really sorry for him, although ironically I thought Podolski looked better and improved the overall play when he came on.

Great to see Germany play so well in the second half anyway and almost got me believing again, that they can somehow become the first team to beat Brazil in a competitive match there since 1975 (Eek) and bring the cup home

If anyone manages it they will win the tournament I think, even though this isn't a great Brazil team

Klose, man, totally different team when he was on the pitch, what if, God forbid, he gets injured? Playing without a real striker doesn't seem to work for Germany.

Low is an idiot regardless.
What a clueless guy. This golden generation of Germany will win nothing if they keep trusting in this clown.

Poor Reus. Witgout him, it will be very hard in Brazil. I think our chances actually slide down :?

That's what I'm thinking as well. Loew's plan was obviously using Reus as the LW. Now the position will be between Schuerrle (?), Podolski and Goetze (?).

the difference during the last 20 minutes was that the armenians were wiped out while the german substitutes were fit. thats what made the difference.

Agree there. Podolski might not be that technically gifted, but IMO he adds some -needed- balls to the team.

Also a striker like Klose in the area made a huge difference. In the first half there were many cases where players just didn't have anyone to pass in the box.

Ozil in form is a player who can make the difference.
