My first World Cup was USA 94 and that 1-1 draw against Spain in the group stages

I remember watching the 2002 World Cup final with my 1997 Germany jersey and I cried after the loss to Brazil. I watched the semifinals this year with the same jersey and it was a sweet revenge :D

BTW I also think that Klose should start the game. I've always been one of the biggest Schürrle's fans in this forum but I think he is working great as a super sub in the second half.

I remember the 2002 World Cup because I was doing my exams in school at the time. There was a lad in my class that I was friends with and we would listen on the radio and during one of the matches it was time to go into the exam and we were both like 'JUST A FEW MORE MINUTES MISS!!' XD so that is probably the first WC I paid attention to :P

Looking forward to Sunday!

First world cup I watched was 2002, even though I only remember two major moments of that tournament:

-Henri Camara's golden goal for Senegal against Sweden in the round of 16 (I have to admit I kind of rooted for Senegal after they beat France in the opener :P)
-The final, at which point Senegal was out and I was rooting for Germany. I cried after the final whistle, and it was delightful seeing Germany steamroll Brazil a couple of days ago, because that was my first (and not my last) football heartbreak.

2002 is the first i can remember and brazil gave me my first football heartbreak when ronaldinho crossed the ball over seamens head. When owen scored early i thought england would win :(

The 2002 final was the first and to this day the only football game I have ever watched at my grandparents' house (I watched it there because games were during the day here in 2002). You could say that despite my young age I became superstitious about football in one of the first games I remember.

First football match I ever saw was Germany vs Brazil in 2002... hopefully there will be a different outcome this time.

Apparently Rizzoli is going to referee the final. Italy has some ties to Argentina but I don't think he'll be inclined to favour one side over the other.

Plus we won the Champions League final with him reffing. Good omen?

I tend to like him as a ref however I d rather stay cautious... As an Italian he might prefer Arg since they are still on two cups while Ger can reach italy. but nah I don t want to think that staff...

Can anyone guess the last time Germany wore this shirt at a World Cup? I've had it for 24 years and it's still in mint condition. Definitely wearing it Sunday.

I can't really say I could possibly fit in shirts I had in 1990 :)

I guess no news is good news but, as far as anyone knows, Hummels is fit for Sunday?

God, I hope so! [-o<

Yeah last I've read they are positive of his recovery. What made the news though was Mascherano tore his anus lol
