Germany have versatile strikers, and will only play with 1 up anyway.

A good looking squad, but wait until that's trimmed and the potential for injury.

This is my personal opinion on which players will leave at the end of the selection. 1. Zieler 2.Schmelzer 3. Lars Bender 4. Draxler

What if Contento is MOTM on May 19th, would he stand a chance of making the final squad?

MUTU, I really like your joke. :D :D Who says there are no LB's, Lahm can play LB. It's just that there are not enough LB, I think that one of sven Bender or Cacau will leave.

One of the best German sides in history

I would drop Wiese, Rolfes, Lars and Draxler.

What do you guys think Loew is planning with Lahm? I think he said that he'll play at LB but since Schmelzer was called up, it seems unlikely.

Not in history, but the best for the last 20-22 years IMHO (until '90). We have a lot of options and great players in midfield and attack and it would be tough for Loew to fit them, especially in the AM area.

I only wish we had that pluralism in defense too with another great fullback except Lahm and one more top CB in case of an injury.

Yes, the great thing is that the current German team has as much depth as a top club.. more than most clubs actually.

As for CBs, we have Badstuber, Boateng, Hummels and Howedes. That's good enough imo.

I like our defense but I'm not sure which should be the CB duo

Hummels seems to be the best CB in the squad but he has never performed world class with Germany

On the other hand it could be a good option if we play Boateng---Badstuber with Lahm as RB and Neuer as GK. They know each other very well and that is a great advantage.

---------------------Neuer-------------------------
Lahm------Boateng----Badstuber----Schmelzer
----------Schweinsteiger--Khedira---------------
Müller----------------Özil-------------------Götze
----------------------Klose-------------------------

But I think Löw will play Hummels replacing Boateng and Podolski replacing Götze

I also want to see Gündogan getting some playing time in the next friendlies. He is in an incredible form right now.

I agree that playing Boateng could be good, but I think we will go for Hummels-Badstuber.

The one which I am unsure about most is Khedira or Kroos... probably Loew will go with Kroos.

Well the CL final should be a good test to see how that work  .

Btw other than Khedira do we have any pure CDM ?

Concerning the LBs I wonder why Loew didn't even think In Christian Pander he had a great season with Hannover , it would be bad to keep on changing Lahm's Position

Because Pander is very mediocre in defense

I hope Löw is not planning with Lahm as LB and Boateng as RB

Low had said sometime earlier that Lahm will play as LB at Euros.
So it's going to be Boateng or Howedes as RB. I think Howedes will get the preference here as Boateng has iterated many times he doesn't like playing as RB when he was used there by Heynckes.

He might go 2010 on us and switch the two...
