injuries and suspensions have hit germany a lot worse than france however i still think germany will dominate the ball and hurt frances defence to get the win i know this a challenge but think italy was the harder game

Germany Hopes Rest on Bayern Munich Star Thomas Muller Breaking His Scoring Duck [source]

He's feeling a bit of pressure IMO... he's been reading/hearing not so good stuff about himself as he said "I have not been as bad as people say". He's a self-critical personality... I don't doubt in him IMO he's been doing everything right, maybe not as lethal in front of goal this period as penalties are showing but everything else is there.
He's a great presence in the pitch as he's fighting for every ball and pushes others to do so too... he's a leader upfront. You can't ever complain that he's not giving his 100%...
Players ball possession may average 2.30 minutes in total per game... but nobody cares what those players do for all the other minutes that they don't have the ball... people care only about goals.

This is what I'd prefer:

I'm afraid playing with two inexperienced players (both Weigl and Sané) isn't an option, as if they feel any pressure it's game over. Weigl as a holding midfielder would allow Kroos to help going forward too and the team would have more balance in the defense without Hummels. I'm trusting Poldi on this, playing on the wings, because his experience against a relatively bad defense could be key. Müller on the wings isn't efficient at all, and he's the only option to replace Gomez, since Götze is in bad form. Only thing I'm not sure about is playing either Höwedes or Mustafi. Giroud only ability is headers lol, Griezmann scored a couple headers this season and Pogba is one tall mofo. Whoever is better in the air should be the option.

Nicola Rizzoli will be the referee. Perhaps the Italian curse hasn't been completely laid to rest yet after all...

Mustafi is really good in the air... he could score with a nice Kroos cross. :P

Oh damn I already forgot he was the one who scored that first goal ... I don't really watch them playing regular matches in their leagues, so I don't know enough to judge who's better defending set-pieces and crosses.

Jeez... that was one of the very first things I said as soon as the game ended... I was sure that he was going to be the one...

Another option, not for the faint-hearted. I will add it as a spoiler so not to give anyone a heart attack:

It's actually quite defensive, innit? Can, Mustafi, Höwedes and Boateng can do well against the physicality of Pogba and Giroud.
The ideal team

--------Müller with gloves--------
-Müller--Müller--Müller--Müller--
-------Müller---------Müller-------
----Müller----Müller----Müller----

It also tackles our winger issue.

Germany needs someone to bully Pogba and the only one who can do that is Can (even if I am not his biggest fan)
Weigl is too soft...
France play with three men in mdf so Germany can't pay with a 4-2-3-1 IMO they have to match them up cause the game is going to be won and lost in that department...

Therefore :
