Regarding England... They did have a fantastic squad in period 1996-2006 and they didn't achieve anything, not a single semi-final after Euro 96', no bronze, no silver, no gold...
With England is always the same - do they have a team? They have individuals, yes, as well as they did have them in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, but nothing came out of that fellas. You can have players, but if you don't have a collective on the pitch, if they are unable to create chances, see some recognizable style which is designed from top to bottom perfectly... You have almost nothing.
Spain used to be that sort of team but Aragones got everything changed after Euro 2004 and 4 years later they finally got a team capable to achieve everything.
Cada loco con su tema.

From other "Englands", this one plays under less pressure... less expected from them. I give them a better chance this time...

Emile Heskey was their main striker all these years, from 1999 until 2010; he posted the "impressive" record of 7 goals in 62 appearances for England, that's 1 goal every 9 games (8.85). His Germany equivalent during the same period, a guy named Miroslav Klose from 2001 until 2010 scored 58 goals in 105 games, or better than one goal every other game (1.81).
