According to the Bundes-Jogi, Halstenberg will start against England and either Khedira or Hummels will have the captain's badge.

The result is irrelevant, as long as the Bundes-Jogi gets the information he needs.

I just want Germany to end this year undefeated. I’ll take a 1-0 win over the English at their home ground in a heartbeat!

I really don't like this starting lineup. The last time Low tried something like it(against the Czech Republic away) there wasn't enough control of the midfield even with Kroos playing, and having Werner as your center forward somewhat defeats the point of having wingbacks. Also, Draxler+Sane as attacking center midfields doesn't seem like a good pairing as they are both best as wingers, and if they stay wide and have Ozil play as a 10 it kind of defeats the point of having wingbacks.

Ultimately, I am still not convinced that there is a better formation the the 4-2-3-1 for Germany although the 3-5-2-1 was interesting against Azerbaijan. Of course, if Low is playing a trick on me and has Kimmich as CM while Ginter is RB, that would answer all my criticisms.

Gundogan was murmuring something!
Wow... good sign...
But it seems that Mesut remains loyal to the Dog...

What a contrast... Germans are so ashamed to sing their NT...

Hummels back to Munich asap please. He looked exhausted.
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.

Didn't watch as I was watching Sweden Italy but I hoped the remembrance stuff would stop the bitterness just for once. I feared it wouldn't but pleased it did. Only a temporary truce I'm sure.

you seems not to like Draxler, I'm not his fan as well, but he's developed well this season. His passing rate for PSG is 92.9 % according to https://www.whoscored.com/Players/96449 ... an-Draxler

whereas Gotze has done almost nothing this season. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/80382 ... G%C3%B6tze

He might get dropped at the end if Dortmund and himself do not stand up the show  (not sure my english is correct here :D)

I'm not going to go into details about what I think the various strengths of Gotze* and Draxler are as players(well, at least not unless you want me to), but I would like to make a point about passing completion. People often take it as a measure of how good a passer a player is, but it actually mainly a measure of how many easy passes(particularly backward and sideways passes) a player makes. Often times, you want an attacking player to have a lower passing completion rate because this indicates they are trying to make difficult passes like threading throughballs through the defense or crossing the ball, while you want a regista type like Kroos to have a high passing completion rate because they are not supposed to lose the ball in front of the defense. Thus, passing completion as a statistic contains useful information, but most people assume it reveals more than it does.

*For example, by one metric Gotze is the second most creative player in the Bundesliga this season(behind only Thomas Muller) while playing as a "number 8" in a duel 8 system(my phrasing might be off, but basically he's being paired with an equally attacking midfielder, subjected to strict positional discipline, and given significant defensive responsibilities, but he's still creating a lot).

Can't believe England play 5-3-2 against Germany. They're such a wimp.
