Without Neymar and Silva, this game is going to be much harder than expected. Brazil's over-dependence on Neymar was not evident last night against Columbia, and that turned out to be their best game so far. Without Neymar, they have a point to prove. Plus, they are playing with an enormous spirit. The Neymar injury will definitely hurt them for a technical perspective, but it might very well provide them with the motivation they need to step up even more and play the game of their lives. As for Silva's suspension, they have Dante who would definitely not weaken their already very solid defensive setup.

On the other hand, we haven't yet shown our best form as well. We have been winning games without going to full gear, and the better the opponent is the better we show up. Last night against France, one of the tournament's best teams early on, we nullified them. Their supposedly amazing midfield and attack couldn't spring together a meaningful chance. If it wasn't for Schurrle helping himself to go on an early vacation, the game could have ended in a much better and deserving scoreline.

I expect a hard-fought 1 goal win for Germany in this game.

That said, he pretty much tops the list of all Brazilian offensive records in this World Cup.

Of course he does. He is a huge loss for them, no doubt about it. However, the point is that they actually played a lot better when he was treated as a normal team player and not the usual go-to option. If they can repeat such team performance, then they will be very dangerous.

Nah, the excitement for Bayern is on a whole different level than the NT for me.

Poor Pep, half of the squad is going to miss the new season preparation trainings. 2 more games are already secured for Germany and Dante. This time must Germany play on Sunday, not on Saturday like last WC.

From the beginning of the tournament was my wish that Germany can knock-out Brazil and now it will happen :)

I feel almost German now. It always happens in major tournaments. Then the tournament is over and I go back to not caring for the next two years. Though actually winning the thing might change that.

Luiz Gustavo will destroy Özil.

But no worries.

I'd take Lahm as a midfielder and Mertesacker in first XI - why? C'mon, Fred...

We need a strong referee. Howard Webb hopefully.

Sadly after his last completely fair and unbiased performance in a Brazil match FIFA would never let him take charge of another Brazil match. I think it will be the Proenca, and if so DFB should kick up a fuss

I think the same too... But if they protest it won't change a thing... Although I am also expecting an African referee - the Algerian for example... or Turkey's Cakir

Willian, designated Neymar replacement, was injured in training and may also miss out. [source]

When I see recent news about Marcelo's grandfather who died yesterday after lost battle with cancer, Neymar's back injury, Silva yellow card suspension, now Willian... Elf must win in 90 minutes.
