The best thing about this match was that none of the players was selfish. Any of the 2nd to 5th goal could have been shot by the first player. Rather, each time the player in front passed it back to his open teammate. Amazing group work. These bunch are after the trophy and are pretty damn serious about it. Team comes first, that is what we saw tonight.

I agree but clearly Guardiola has some influence in how Germany has played recently.

If only Oezil...

Yeah, you can say Ozil was a bit selfish towards the end. He wanted a goal desperately, and his miss caused us to concede a goal rather than score. However, all is accepted after a 5-0 first half result, selfishness included :D

I am glad that Germany only sat back the 20 first minutes of the second half. I was really expecting them to sit back the whole second half. And that makes me really nervous, even up by 5 goals

- A shaky as the back line looked early on in the tournament (especially against Ghana and Algeria), it's amazing that they've only conceded 3 goals. Obviously the GK had a lot to do with that.

- Neuer was Neuer. Hated that they couldn't hold on at the end and help him keep a clean sheet. He definitely deserved it.

- Khedira was VERY good today and probably the reason they got off to such a good start. He was as active as I've ever seen him. I don't think we'll see too many more complaints about him being in the starting XI.

- The back 4 were great today. Howedes seems to have adapted very well to playing at LB. I barely even noticed the CB's, which is a good thing.

- Lahm is a RB.....end of story. I really hope Pep gets this.

- Kroos is the straw that stirs the drink. I'm really gonna miss him...

Someone made a lot of money tonight. German Mannschaft: =D> . Selfless and ruthless. Almost felt bad for the Brazilians watching with me. RM better fork over some serious money for Kroos. Wish Özil had scored to cap a good night from him.

Brazil had not allowed 7 goals in a match ever, prior to this their worst defeat was versus Uruguay in 1920 0:6.
Brazil had not lost at home since 1975 against Peru, they had an unbeaten run of 63 matches.

If Germany played a good game, Brazil panicked just long enough for the three-time champions to destroy them, using the available space. The story of an history-making encounter.

Tbh by the 30th minute.. i wanted ten and muller to score a hat trick, so yeah was quite dissapointed it was only 7 and that Oscar goal was sad,Neuer deserved a clean sheet. Bravo to the team, this world cup is ours.

Last night we watched a piece of football history. It was absolutely fabulous. I can't really remember any time it felt better to be a Germany fan. The only thing that can surpass it is lifting the trophy on Sunday night...

I'm daring to believe that they can actually do it. If they leave Merte on the bench and play with the back five they had against France, and in the first half against Brazil, they have a better balance and more solidarity across the field than either of their two potential opponents, Holland and Argentina.

Congratulations to the whole team on last night's achievement.

Maybe I'm beeing a little bit too harsh with this comment, but I'm sure that Brazil would be playing the final on Sunday IF Mertesacker had started this game.

He is just so bad in everything :|

BTW I have the feeling that Özil will have a great game in the final. He is in that kind of moment when everything goes wrong for him and has zero confidence. Everybody wants him to be benched but Löw keeps playing him because he still trusts in Mesut. So this kind of things happen and Mesut will probably deliver a big performance in the final if Löw plays him as starter again.

I don't think that Özil was particularly bad yesterday. The only dumb thing he did was try to score himself that sitter. Schürrle was free to just tap-in. And as a result, Oscar scored from the counter that generated.

If not for Özil, the result would have been probably 8-0 and not 7-1.
