or it is to make the offer more tempting for Roma
because Chelsea have initially signed him for 15 million euros

after all , he is highly rated among EPL fans , and even on transfermarkt , his market value is 25 million euros

Can you remind me how much Gomez's value was on transfermarkt when he was sold to Fiorentina?
Or Lucio's?

To keep to my original point, I think that it's very rare that a player who has not yet proven himself at a big club sells for that kind of money.

But he has proven himself in a Big league , i am with you that 30 millions is too much , but also i dont expect him to leave for anything less than 20 million euros

not that Rare , look at the Brazilian players , they come at the age of 18 from a very inferior league (not english premier league which is the strongest and most competitive league in the world) and they always cost tons of $$$

Lucio wanted to Leave , and LvG wanted him out , so does not apply here really

In a world where Luiz goes for 50m, 30m for a 20-year old Lukaku is a steal!

In all seriousness, yes it is a lot, but the market has gone mad these days. Strikers will almost always be valued higher as well so it is no surprise if he goes for that amount. Provided they do sell him that is.

By the way, Lukaku is 21. I am just worried that Wolfsburg are paying too much. More than we paid for Ribery or Robben.

Well they paid 20 odd millions for KdB; then something around 25 for Lukaku is fine.
The guy is a huge talent. The reason Chelsea paid 18m in the first place when he was only 18. Pounds or euros, can't remember.
It's obvious they may want 25 or 30 for that matter for him.

I hope Wolfsburg bring it down under 25.
They are going to be wanting that third CL spot next year and I hope they make it because they'll spend some more to stay there.
God knows what Leverkusen do with their money. At least Schalke pay for huge wages; if not for big transfers.
May be Schmidt might turn them into a good counter attacking side.

So go Wolfsburg, hunt them down.

It is. Add to that he hasn't played the WC yet.

I doubt Lukaku is going to end up at Wolfsburg, maybe if they were to play in the Champions League but they missed out on that opportunity at the end of last season.

Still, Wolfsburg's GM Klaus Allofs has been doing his homework. The free-agent signature of Aaron Hunt is a smart one to increase depth and add further international experience to the roster. Sebastian Jung will hopefully be the long-sought counter-part to Rodriguez on the fullback positions. Now all they need is a quality CF, while Olíc and Dost will provide depth and competition.

Perhaps they can really pull off a surprise in the Europa League that way. It's about time a German team won that competition, I think Bayern and Schalke were the last clubs in the late 96 and 97.

They are now trying to sign Morata from Real Madrid, but Real want to include a buyback clause.

Real is enjoying having the BL nurture their talents and turning them into top players.

Okay, but buy-back will be minimum 35 mil €, something what Wolfsburg will dictate, not Real. If it's gonna be vice versa, then Wolfsburg don't need Morata.

I think that a serious club cannot afford such actions because that would be very, very bad sign for the rest of the players, Bundesliga and the good one for clubs like Real, Barcelona, United, etc.

That would be an amazing signing. That could be very hard, though, if he plays well in Brazil.
