They still rule the world's biggest (and profitable) car market and are well on track to become world's biggest car maker in the next years. On top of that oil just hit 5 year lows meaning not only car sales on their front door yard will recover but costs of important secondary vehicle components (mainly plastics) will take a plunge benefiting profits. I don't see them reducing thir budget on Wolfsburg for internal reasons for the next two years. Don't forget car makers in Germany invest huge marketing sums as it benefits them more than writing that check to the taxman.

They could if they wanted make Wolfsburg the richest club in the world.

But what about the ROI? That's is the only reason I believe why Volkswagen has not injected more money into them. It does not make sense to invest that much money into something that might never return your investment.

The failed shot of the year kid... Just read it, seems that he didnt drive himself, but was in the backseat. Other 2 people in the front seats are heavily wounded, but not dead..

Yes. They mention that he was "catapulted" out of the car.

Use the seat belt people... Could have saved his life.

Wow. Deaths happen every time everywhere, but hearing about someone you kinda know always leaves me speechless. Life is short and we often forget about it. RIP and to everyone be careful. [-o<

More and more details are coming up.. Overspeeding on a rainy and very windy highway, made the car slither, over the rail and against a tree..

Awful, awful news despite the details. It'll be a shadow hanging over the Bundesliga for a while now.

To be honest? How harsh it may sound, but as of next week, none will talk about this anymore. Will be brought up when the game Wolfsburg vs Bayern will be and thats it. He wasnt a big enough player to make something big out of it, sadly thats the world we live in.. You have to be a name to be important. Or else you will be forgotten very quick.
