There is always something intriguing about East German clubs: SG Dynamo, F.C. Hansa Rostock, FC Energie Cottbus, then you have Berliner FC Dynamo that won 10 consecutive DDR Oberliga titles but never really made a mark after the reunification and now you have RB Leipzig, a kind of an interesting history zone to follow.

Our own Jens Jeremies came from SG Dynamo Dresden, then Toni Kroos came from Hansa Rostock.

True, he is actually from Dresden but after such a long career tied to Dortmund as player and coach I still have problems identifying him primarily as a Bayern man, maybe in a few years though. Good observation: I did not think about him.

Ballack also came from East Germany and the DDR Oberliga through the ranks of SC Karl-Marx-Stadt, rebranded Chemnitzer FC after the re-unification.

So what do we learn? East Germany teams only stand a chance to be competitive if you bend the competition in their favor...

Very strange result this evening.
DD were 2-0 down vs leaders E.Braunschweig but they managed to win 3-2.

In another match
St. Pauli won some 6-3

Passionate and entertaining? They are some of the worst out there... Leaving a trail of destruction in many many cities they visit..

I wouldn't know about that. Of course that is problematic if that's the case. I wouldn't know the details about their fangroup history.

I refer to things such as making the largest tifo ever made and packed away sections they visit.

To my understanding it's a small fraction among the fangroups that are violent and hateful. And I think those subgroups can be found among most clubs' fangroups.

I actually don't know the details about the military march against the DFL, don't know about any violence being part of it.
