Coach of the year in March?

Either a bit late for 2012 or premature for season 2012/13.
To all those, Over the years,
who have come to
Munich as strangers
and left as good friends.
Zum Wohl!

Jupp Heynckes?

Heynckes has a top team so winning the league isnt surprising

While Freiburg even have realistic chances to make it to Champions league with only 1 player good enough for Bayerns Bench (Oliver Baumann and this is because he is a GK)

Well, winning the league with a 1000 records broken deserves such award if you ask me. However, the timing of this award is very strange as pointed out by lau03143.

Streich surely deserves this award... when he came in charge at Freiburg, they were at the bottom, in serious danger of relegation... They even sold their best striker (Cisse) in the winter when he came, but he managed to keep them in the BuLi.... Like 1 year after he's taken the job, Freiburg plays excellent modern football without any transfer spendings, and are rightfully contending for a chance to play in Europe next season... That's brilliant...

Yeah, I agree. Streich has done a brilliant job considering the resources at hand.

Freiburg can do the impossible and get CHAMPIONS LEAGUE if they beat Schalke.
Emre CAN do it.

No way! I dont want them in the UCL i just cant see them qualifying for the group stages or even progressing past the group stages! Schalke are a much more worthy squad....

Although I would favour Freiburg the underdog, I do agree with the point. They will also lose their best players come uly.
Emre CAN do it.

You can say they mostly lost the CL 4th spot due to a stupid own goal.

I know but after conceding that goal, they made life difficult for themselves and I guess stopped believing. Whereas if they were still 1-1, you can bet there would have been an all out assault near the end from Freiburg and maybe score a goal.
