Swiss international Valon Berhrami joins HSV from Napoli [source]

Bundesliga is the best league in Europe. It was right decision here to come. Behrami prefered HSV over Atletico Madrid. Hitzfield encouraged Behrami to join German side. [source]

What happened to this guy? :? Back there during the Lazio period he was fantastic player, on his top level and very interested player for every club, but then suddenly he has started slowly to decline. Behrami wanted to restore his good-old form in the last 2 years, but obiously something's going wrong all the time.

It's a weird choice, don't understand why anyone wants to go to HSV.. With Napoli he could play internationally.. With HSV it's Abstiegskampf pur and i don't think HSV pays more then Napoli would.

HSV pay handsomely. They might be 5th after the CL teams, not sure if more than Leverkusen.. They operate on a costly budget and yet don't get it's worth. That is the issue they're going under debt and are looking to sell shares for investment.

In what could indirectly be bad news for Julian Green, Hamburg have also loaned Lewis Holtby. Their offensive midfield is looking pretty packed now with Holtby, van der Vaart, Stieber, Ilicevic, Nicolai Mueller, Beister, Philipp Mueller and Nafiu all competitors to Green.

HSV are actually looking pretty good this season with Holtby & Behrami. As Mutu said though, I just hope that Green will stand out & get enough playing time! It would be awful to have him loaned to a club where he would barely get any more playing time than he would get with Bayern.

I hope they are not getting paid on a per-goal basis at HSV or they might be thinking about applying for welfare.
