How is Bayern Munich 100% fan-owned when Adidas and Audi have shares? Can anyone care to explain please?

You've gotta ask the Journo, Andy Brassel.

I tried to explain this to myself by two ideas :

1. They (Adidas and Audi) don't have voting rights and all rights lie with the members who own 81.8% of Bayern Munich e.V.

2. He(journalist) takes Adidas and Audi to be our fans. That might even be true. I did read somewhere that Adidas AG Chairman who sits on the board is a fan. Not sure about the Audi guy. After all board members are all fans in a manner, except maybe for VW AG Chairman.

PS :
Wasn't there some new of investment in our club also sometime ago? Uli said that we'll see and we are in particular need, however, for any new investments.
I remember reading that we would always keep 72% with us which means rest 28% is investment available of which 18.2% has already been 'invested' upon. I'll have to look for that article.

They don't own shares. Their's is a sponsorship agreement. Similar to T Mobile, Yingli Solar, Hublot and others. For logo display at club events, on the digital screens surrounding the pitch etc etc.
These sponsors pay in the region of 4-5m a year.

I think there are three share-holding companies, right? Who is the third one besides Audi and Adidas?

The Bayern München e.V. obviously. There was talk about a third investor but that deal has never been finalized.

Well, this would be a great opportunity for Green if it was to be true.

Hamburg's fans fight to retain autonomy
As it stands, Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V is one of a small handful of Bundesliga clubs -- including Bayern Munich -- still 100 percent fan-owned, but some interested parties want to change this. Former club chairman Ernst-Otto Rieckhoff outlined the plans of his HSV Plus movement in a September interview with Die Welt, calling for a major change to the club's structure: dividing the administrative body from the football side and selling off stock to create "several million euros of investment." [source]

It's a dilemma. Fans are against any selling while IMHO what is wrong with some investment?
A new system can be introduced and they can decide how many get the power to make decisions. Why is it presumed that 'only 5' or say the 'new board' will get all the power with the billionaire manhandling the club? Surely even 25% wouldn't earn someone that many voting rights.

I get the thing that if it's been a 100% owned club and they want to maintain it that way, but the points made by the HSV not for Sale representative don't seem reasonable. Also, quoting Cardiff and Man City? The billionaires own these club's majority shares. While surely Hamburg can keep the majority shares and gain some investment.

What's your opinion of this?

So a partial decision has been taken. They are planning to sell off 25% of the club(eV) in an attempt to raise 100m. The new plan will be laid out in detail in annual meeting and if accepted there then it's all done.
HSV to HSVPlus [source]

Their fans will then be known for having tested positive for HSV. :P

I think it is pretty well known Bayern is not a club but a limited company (under German law that is) nor is it owned 100% by fans. 8)
