I have a soft spot for Hamburg due to their ties with Rangers.

But it just doesn't sit right with my Bayern half... :???:

Like HSV hasn't got enough problems already. Now they're just trying to make things worse for themselves.
Here (at his club of six years Bayern Munich) it is always good, here I am happy and here it's fun. That is more important for me than the national team.

Van Marwijk is the new Hamburg coach. [source]

I like the guy. Felt bad for him after Euros.
Though we all know it was more to do with the problems within the Dutch team.

Schalke should have went after him when they had a chance. :|

Hey, Neuer also made his fame playing behind the horrifyingly bad Schalke defense of 2010-11! It's good for a goalie.

Now, if he could actually prove himself in a team that can play football... :P

HSV still in relegation zone? Could this be the year they see what 2. division feels like?

I think Van Marwijk can turn it around.

I think Van Marwijk can turn it around.

He's not been confirmed yet, I guess. There are some issues regarding the selection of Andreas Moeller as Asst. Coach.

I can't comprehend

Well, van der Vaart lost the below, so he needed something to cheer him up.

Hamburg's fans fight to retain autonomy
As it stands, Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V is one of a small handful of Bundesliga clubs -- including Bayern Munich -- still 100 percent fan-owned, but some interested parties want to change this. Former club chairman Ernst-Otto Rieckhoff outlined the plans of his HSV Plus movement in a September interview with Die Welt, calling for a major change to the club's structure: dividing the administrative body from the football side and selling off stock to create "several million euros of investment." [source]

It's a dilemma. Fans are against any selling while IMHO what is wrong with some investment?
A new system can be introduced and they can decide how many get the power to make decisions. Why is it presumed that 'only 5' or say the 'new board' will get all the power with the billionaire manhandling the club? Surely even 25% wouldn't earn someone that many voting rights.

I get the thing that if it's been a 100% owned club and they want to maintain it that way, but the points made by the HSV not for Sale representative don't seem reasonable. Also, quoting Cardiff and Man City? The billionaires own these club's majority shares. While surely Hamburg can keep the majority shares and gain some investment.

What's your opinion of this?
