So? This is this year's achievement not a career one.

I kind of agree with Mutu there.

Anyway, my vote goes to Bastian. He rose to the occasion in the final and lifted up the others players morale with his fighting spirit.

Must be a record that you agree on me with something I wrote that's against Klose :P

Klose deserves a recognition for his career with the German NT, but if you ONLY take into consideration the year 2014 (which is what this award is about) then Mueller should be miles ahead of Klose.

Anyway, where can we find the final results now?

Well the truth is that even if it's a year award people will still consider everything else because players don't start the year on equal footing in terms of popularity. We see the same thing in the Ballon D'Or. Also, a player who has just retired will always have more sympathy than someone who is 25.

I think Schweinsteiger deserves it as well.

Yes, that's it. But it should NOT be that way. A year award should be based on everything the player did from 1st January to 31st December, and only that.

And thats where Neuer should win, tbh.. Ronaldo does what he Always does.. dive and score.. Neuer revolutioned the GK position for the big picture ( because a lot of country's dont follow the BL, stuff we long knew already ) and thats a big difference imo..

This statistic should be on a per-minute-played basis. Messi and Hazard have featured in more matches than any Bundesliga-based player.

And if you ask any football analyst, Bundesliga is weird that way. As MUTU posted above, German teams dominate it. Paderborn ftw!

Another odd thing about the Bundesliga is that along with their dribbling they also have 10 of the top 20 teams in terms of tackles per game. The two stats go hand in hand, actually, tackles and dribbles are usually (but not always) part of the same duel. Being dispossessed is also a stat that is mixed in there with dribbles and tackles. I’ll explain it all one day. The important thing to remember is that the Bundesliga dribbles a lot and there are a lot of tackles. [source]

Just an example, Firmino averages 4.3 successful dribbles/90 and 4 interceptions+tackle/90.

It's Bundesliga's brand of ADHD hyper fast football.
