Mutu's point is very interesting. It indeed seems like German vs English clubs have a completely different approach. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but the English approach is definitely more commercial. Lots of "executive" seats and treating fans more like costumers. That has pros and cons of course, who's to say which one is better?

Regarding TV; again, I haven't seen the numbers, but I would dare to posit that the quantity restrictions on tickets for the stadia allow only a small part of the potential audience to the stadia, the rest should be willing to pay for the games on TV. I think it is a cultural thing that they don't.

Probably didn't explain myself well in the first point. I think it is more of a "Devoted Fan" vs "Casual Costumer" thing arising from the more community attitude vs commercial attitude.

I didn't get that Italian episode tbh...
Thing is: You will get not a single ticket more as a foreigner - only the audience would change...
Also, I think it's only fair "locals" have a little advantage... (Also helps recruiting future talent )
Because: while you complain about our willingness to pay - we still pay wayyy more to watch these games than foreigners... And as for the visit to AA: if you do it right you get tickets pretty often... And if you don't we could always try to find a good date forba visit where I'll help you out ;)
Someone, fire that Italian **** already! I don't care who, I don't care how much it costs or who'll be the next coach - just make sure he's gone and he stays gone!!!

What I meant by the Italian episode is that since stadiums are rarely sold out you can just go to the stadium ticket booth minutes before kick off, buy the ticket and walk right in. It's comfortable in a way. For a Bayern fan you need far more planning to be able to watch a match.

Granted... They hand almost half of the tickets to sponsors though...

You can't accuse them of anything more than lack of sportsmanship. They're not breaking any rules and no one has the right to stop any coach from fielding any player he desires as long as that player is 1) registered with that club for that competition and 2) not suspended.

Be ready for some shameful referee decisions against Bayern and a Carte Blanche for our our rivals...

Yeah, I thought that was a weird comment too. Like how are you going to prove that the side is weakened? Coach can easily say he had a special plan for Bayern which required this and this player on the field. Who is German FA to say that's not true? :D

My point exactly. I hope what ramsej said does not turn out to be true although I'm not one to blame referees unless it's very blatant.

He's not wrong but silly to mention Hummels as an example.
