For Ter Stegen will be the perfect move but for Barca suits better Courtois(La Liga experience,CL experience,Europa winner,NT starter, already top class)

Curtois is a giant at 1.99m, but will probably cost more money as they would need to deal with Chelsea. On the other hand, a 21-year old goalkeeper as talented and full of promise as ter Stegen for just 12m is a steal. It would be less of a risk for Barcelona to try ter Stegen out for a year to see how he holds out, and if worst comes to worst for them they could sign a more experienced goalkeeper and bench ter Stegen.

I get it but if I were Barca I'd prefer an already top class GK like the Belgian giant only 21-22 years old so I can be relaxed for the next 10 years for the GK position, maybe a bit more expensive but definetely worth it.

Right now we all agree Courtois > Ter Stegen so money for a big club, isn't an issue,it's not like he will cost double as ter stegen.

Actually, I don't. I've seen ter Stegen play and he did well, but I haven't seen Courtois play at all so I can't judge him.

PS: ter Stegen saved a Messi penalty once :P

Thibaut Courtois is the 2nd best Goalkeeper in the world after Neuer (and the gap is closer than you think)

Ter Stegen is very good, but Courtois is way better

Courtois on the Line is a Nightmare , with his 199cm+ long span of arms + his fast reflexes , he turns the goal into a hockey goal!!

I can't say that Courtois impressed me much in the admittedly few games I've seen from him.

Against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu for example he almost dropped two easily savable shots right in-front of the Real attacker. He was only lucky that his defenders reacted quickly and dealt with the situation.

I'm not claiming to be able to make a general assessment of his qualities but if you elevate him on the level closest to Manuel Neuer then I'd be very disappointed by such imprecise and random shotstopping.

Barcelona have a deal with Gladbach on the transfer of goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen (21) for 10M. Also personal deal with player [sport]

Looks like BMG have pretty much given up on Luuk De Jong, he didnt really pan out like most ppl thought. I guess their is still a chance he comes back from Newcastle a better player....

I just keep recalling the fuss this guy made about himself before joining Gladbach.

€20m is a bit low for a goalkeeper of his quality and age.
