Schmelzer signed a new contract till 2017. So our defence is now:

Piszczek 2017
Subotic 2016
Hummels 2017
Schmelzer 2017

Bringing in Sahin opens up the possibilities of dropping a DM back to CB, doesn't it? I just heard Kehl might be covering for Subotic should Santana become unavailable.

Good point. Didn't Kehl use to be a sweeper in his early days?

He did play as a CB few times in the past, but it was in a very extreme situations. Now we dont need that. I dont think Klopp will make a place for Sahin in the starting eleven. He will have to get familiar with the bench for at least some time and use his chances when he gets them, Im sure Klopp will give him a lot of them.

Sahin will be used for sure against Furth and Augsburg. Sahin-Gundogan in form will screw the BL over.
Emre CAN do it.

True, but they are in financial trouble and their president said a few weeks ago that they will be forced to sell their best players. And also they are struggling to get an Europa League spot on the table, so it could be possible :)

If THAT team is in in form, then no Messi or Falcao can save them :P . Negredo is just like Remy, highly inconsistent. I read somewhere that Dortmund will listen to Lewandowski offers in summer, is that true?

Well, the case is quite simple, there are two options:

1. We will get a good offer from some club - Lewandowski leaves.
2. We will not get a good offer from other clubs - Lewandowski stays and plays to the end of his contract. And I think thats good, why should we sell if we get some shitty offers like 15 million euros? Better to let Robert score some more goals next season and help the team to achieve their goals.

We still want to extend the contract though. Supossedly its about money, Lewandowski wants to earn the same kind of money Gotze gets. Sorry bro, you are nowhere near Mario's level.

I hope it will turn out that there are no offers for Lewandowski in the summer from big clubs. Would be a nice blow to his ego.
