I disagree. It's highly unlikely that football will eclipse baseball/basketball and cricket in those countries. China is different.

European countries with 600k population are better than China with 1b. Numbers and money aren't always everything...

I have no issues China developing into a soccer super power, but I rather have them do it within their means and bringing up their own talent rather than throwing devaluated Yuans at the next flashy player with a bad season.

Zelalem is a very interesting player but jesus, how many midfielders do you need? Where are the centre-backs?

Sahin is leaving but he's a useless sub... maybe someone else will leave.

If Rakitic leaves Barca , Weigl will be the Catalan's prime target.

That would be a marked downgrade for Barca.

Interesting from Watzke:

"Even if [Aubameyang] goes, life goes on. After the departure of Lewandowski, the end of the world was prophesied to us in 2014"

Aubameyang:
"For now, I want to stay in Dortmund. I think we’ll stop talking about Madrid. This is not the time to talk about it, especially since I feel really good in Dortmund. The challenge is even more beautiful. Of course we are one of the top clubs, but not really like Barca, Madrid or Bayern. It would be nice to win titles with this team, with Dortmund. I hope to do so."

When asked about rumors linking Auba to a move to China:

"I was on vacation sleeping and my brother called me. He said to me, 'Have you seen the proposal you have just received?'. So I looked on the internet...It amused me. It is nice to see that people are willing to put so much money on the table for you, but whether it is true or not is the question that must be asked. I do not pay attention to it. I have other objectives, which are my priorities."

Nice was that a press conference?
