42m with only 1yr contract is pretty good. I'm glad BVB at least got some money, but next season is clearly going to be a rebuild one. I don't think we will have much competition for the league for now.

Apparently BVB have offered 20 mil for Schuerrle but Allofs wants the full 42 they got from Mickey Mouse :D It's unfortunate that every clubs know how much Dortmund have to spend and they haven't even touched the money they will make through CL. Probably also the reason Voeller demanded 25+ for Toprak even though he has a 12 mil release clause next summer

Interested to see who we'll sign. According to Watzke and Zorc we are signing at least one more player this summer so all we can do is wait.

They definitely need the likes of Schurrle or Hamsik if they are to compete with us. A team entirely made of youngsters can only get you so far.

42 million for Schürrle? :D

They should go for Draxler for that kind of money.

Done deal, but...

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's refusal to take a penalty in Borussia Dortmund's German Cup final defeat to Bayern Munich is reportedly one of the factors which is leading to his likely sale to Manchester United.

German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung claims the Armenian didn't put himself forward and it will likely play a part in Dortmund's decision.

Hearing that Rode played well today in a friendly... and that Dembele has speed. BVB won 2-5.

And I'm 100% sure that Dembele is going to be a big hit...

Kicker is reporting that it is "highly probable" that BVB will sign Mario Götze and Andre Schürrle. They also report that a five-year-deal has already been agreed with Schürrle. The story isn't online yet, but this is being reported, by trusted Dortmund Twitter accounts, from physical versions of Kicker.

Daring move by Dortmund.

Schürrle overrated (at least from a financial point of view). If Wolfsburg asks for more than 25-28m it's too much. Board probably think it needs to go for what they see as a secure investment, as Tuchel knows him. One who can fill a role at once, compared to the all the teenage transfers.

Götze return will not sit well with the fans. Moreover, is he still the playmaker he once was, and Dortmund needs? I guess if he can substain the booing the first year, he will be allright. But would he really want to go back after all the media and fuzz about the transfer from BVB to FCB?
