glad to hear that their players have faith in their team for the future. Reus and Aubameyang extensions are huge and can be attractive to potential signings.

BTW did anyone almost feel bad for BVB this past season? I mean I loved their competition from the prior season but it really slipped away, besides the fricken pokal game......almost like a love hate relationship between us.

Regardless of last season, Dortmund is still our main competitor and will definitely come back to the CL.

I don't think that BVB will make the UCL from qualifying by the Bundesliga, but rather by winning the Europa league

I think Shaqiri would fit in greatly at BVB. He could be a big hit in a good counter-attacking philosophy.

BVB juat scored a very beautiful goal against Wolfsberger. They also had a great goal by Kagawa (IMHO wrongly) disallowed. They remain somehow ineffective sometimes, but Tuchel is definitively making them regain the form of the best Klopp era (although more possession-oriented and with shorter passes).

They seem a lot more composed than last year, they have toned down their gung-ho approach to the game but seemingly they have a better control on games. I really hope they can bounce back this year, the rivalry with them is what BuLi needs to become an attractive league.

p.s Julian Weigl seems like a gem, hope they treat him well.

He was a great one on one and reflex keeper I thought, though always lacked a bit of athleticism if he had to come out of goal. But last year he was atrocious, he seemed to lose whatever was left of his mobility and kept making rash mistakes. Whatever he offered in his one on ones, it was not enough to make up for all of his other mistakes. Even a average keeper like Mitch Langerak offered more assurances than he did.

RW should be glad he's still at Dortmund at this point. Mind you, I have no idea how good Burki really is. In Ter Stegen and Trapp, BVB lost two quality cheap and young German keepers.

I don't know where that twitter user has got his information from; I can't find any confirmation in the German media, on BVB's website or Dortmund forums. Latest information is that the decision is still to be made, Bild is even reporting today that he's considering moving to England, while Focus reports that Tuchel has apparently made a decision in favor of Bürki.

I'd be very surprised if the tweet information is true. If anything, Weidenfeller's errors could prove much more costly in the Europa League or in the DFB cup knock-out games, where there isn't even a 2nd leg to make up for blunders.

E: Looks like Sport1 is the source the twitter user is referring to. They say it's "according to their own information". So better take it as gossip; they've been unreliable even when it comes to Bayern and I don't know they have any notable connections to the Dortmund camp.

Where did you get that idea? It's not about money, it's about playing in an international competition, while it's not CL, it's still a bigger factor when it comes to attracting players than not playing in Europe at all. Plus, if you win it (and Dortmund is certainly among the favorites) you qualify for CL - via Bundesliga that won't be easy for Dortmund next season at all.

Any body saw Immobile's comments about Dortmund? What a dickhead! What, he thought trainings would be conducted in Italian or something?? What a poor attitude towards immigration! Never buy Italian players...
