Re: Thomas Müller

"Situation at Borussia Dortmund makes me speechless"

For Thomas Müller, the decline of Borussia Dortmund is difficult to comprehend. (Source: Ulmer / imago)

The world upside down: that Borussia Dortmund is after 13 games at end of table, instead of hunting for FC Bayern Munich to make, Thomas Müller makes anything but cold. "I'm not surprised, but rather shocked. If you look at the situation, I am also as an outside observer stunned," said the champion against Sky Sport News HD.

Given the decline of the BVB the Bayern man has almost feel sorry for the rivals. "In the meantime, I wish Dortmund each point, because this is important for the German Football easy," said Müller. The 25-year-old believes that it will go up again soon at BVB, but stresses: "Since one needs to have eggs."

BVB have already 22 points behind the FCB. The Borussia had gone with the goal of the season to annoy the German record champions and a say in the title.

Müller is for New World Footballer

Müller flicks his teammate Manuel Neuer for election to the world footballer fingers crossed. "The variant with Cristiano Ronaldo would almost be a bit boring. I hope that Manu wins the race. He has my vote, even if that is not one," Müller said with a wink.

The BVB are in this situation through their own fault. Go to spend lots of money on players like Mkhtaryan,or Ramos, Immobile or Aubameyang instead of real players.
I think that the Klopp is at its end of cycle the front of BVB.

 Easy to sympathize now, but I continue to expect this to be some kind of Sun Tzu "appear weak when you are strong" type of long-term strategy. In short: Dortmund is the devil and not to be trusted! :problem:

Seriously what kind of devious plan do you and your club have planned?

I don't think money is a problem... you could've kept Goetze and others with the money you spent in transfers, I don't know why BVB didn't do that!? Do you have any idea why BVB made Arsenal-esque decisions? The players didn't want to stay or what...

Wishing Dortmund to go down will serve no purpose other than to satisfy some sick extremist wish of some crazy ultras.

Bayern was - sporting wise - reborn in 2013. Dortmund put them there. There's no City without United; there's no River without Boca, there's no Madrid without Barza and there's no Super Bayern without Dortmund (f*ck you Celtic I'm not putting you in my list.) It is a symbiotic relationship that must be maintained and I never stood for plucking their players for this reason alone. You can add a lot of money arguments and league coefficients into the mix if you will. In the meantime, let's pray Dortmund don't go down - they deserve it dammit.

Because of bad defense this season, Borussia are currently where they are.

Seriously, you can miss chances and not score goals, but to concede against almost every team... Well, that's the other pair of shoes. Obviously - you must not!

When you sum these things together you get behind equal sign 18th place in the Bundesliga. :|

Not sure it is only bad defense: only Cologne and Hamburg have scored less than Dortmund, conceding they are not too far from Leverkusen which sits in 3rd place. But going match per match you have a point that they threw away games because childish defensive mistakes.

Dortmund is suffering in almost all areas right now: Immobile and Ramos did not click-in and this makes Lewa's hole even bigger. It remains a fact that players that used to carry the team like Kagawa and Sahin are a shadow of themselves, they came back 5 notches below compared to where they were.

Right now Dortmund needs a player that can dictate play from the center, Kehl and Bender can't do it but hopefully Gundogan can regain his form and deliver something after the winter break.

I doubt that Dortmund will be relegated since they have a squad good enough to have a good run in the 2nd half of the season but for sure they won't be playing in Europe and that will have a rippling effect on the team with players being lured by other clubs and Dortmund not being able to retain them.
