Maybe the offer is for January. Instead of waiting to get Reus in 2015, they want him now.

pyrasur wrote:The whole Arsenal/Suarez saga confused me too, how Liverpool's owner bragged that Liverpool refused despite there being a release clause.

Suarez' release clause is a "good faith" release clause. [source]

During the summer transfer window, the PFA reported that the contractual provision in Suarez’s contract with Liverpool was a ‘good faith’ release clause rather than an automatic release clause. The two are quite different. With an automatic release clause, player ‘y’ must be allowed to speak to purchasing club ‘x’ if the minimum release amount is offered. A ‘good faith’ clause means the parties are required to negotiate in good faith once a bid has been made. Importantly, a good faith clause does not automatically trigger the selling club to accept the offer the offer.

Hm "negotiate in good faith" that sounds pretty empty. Which is why Liverpool didn't really have to do anything I guess.

And that's why
Suarez had said recently that Gerrard convinced him to stay in Liverpool than go to Arsenal [source]
. They received a bid, Liverpool is not forced to accept it, but the negotiation was opened. If Suarez wanted to move to Arsenal, Liverpool would be forced to negotiate with Arsenal after the bid.

If ever Gundogan regains his 2012/2013 form, he's going to be the next out of that door.
"Real Madrid made a bid but my club didn't want to accept it. I was under contract for two more years," he told TRT.

"My injury broke my plans. I didn't play for 14 months. Now I want to make up for this time with success. One day, I'll leave here, I want to play for one of the big teams in Spain or England."

"I was not supposed to be injured for the World Cup. I would have been in the first XI," he said.

"We were very good and it went to plan. I'm sad I didn't realise my dream but I have Euro 2016 in front of me. I want to add a World Cup in my career."

Wow, what a nice way to thank the fans for their continued support during all his time out injured. Poor Borusse!

"I gave this one-hour interview to Turkish TV channel TRT1. In this interview we have a wide variety of topics – from my childhood, my family, my career at different stages, the rivalry between Dortmund and Schalke, the atmosphere at Signal Iduna Park, Jurgen Klopp, the German national team, my successful time at BVB, the Champions League final and my injury.

"Under these subjects, I was asked if it was known that almost all of Europe's top clubs had studied my before my injury especially after the Champions League final, with Real Madrid among them. This was followed by the question of why a transfer had not yet happened.

"My answer to this question was clear: there were always requests from different clubs here and there. But it was never an issue for me to go as I have still have goals with Dortmund. And besides, I replied, I have an ongoing contract with Dortmund and the board have not made any indications with regard to selling me.

"I was then asked if moving abroad could be something I would think about.

"Again, my answer was clear.

"If I was to concern myself one day with the topic of moving abroad, then there wouldn't be many clubs that would come into question. At present, it could be England or Spain sometime in my career."

If I am not mistaken he said that he will continue till 2016 and that is it. Not sure but even if he wins it a change is always needed esp after 10yrs at the helm

I wonder why BVB didn't go for Drmic before? If they were shopping for Bundesliga strikers last season, Drmic would have been a better fit on their system isn't it?

Dat defense what happened to it.

First goal, Offside trap fail (I think that's Ginter that was ahead and raised his hand). Weindefeller should think of leaving #JustNeuerThings to Neuer.
On the other side, Weidwald doing some #JustNeuerThings.
Second goal, no words for that fck up.

Their best chance, God hates Grosskreutz.
