I wonder whether anyone at Dortmund is calling for Klopp's head yet. I feel that they won't even consider changing him and they're probably right in doing so.

No, Klopp's safe... for now. We need to get it together very soon, preferably next week against Gladbach.

He might decide to quit himself... I hope he does not. Tuschel can be the ideal successor

I think some of you are underestimating what an impact Lewa had for Dortmund over the years....

Lewa gave us one important thing, you could play a long ball to him and he would win many of them and hold on to possesion. We lacked that yesterday, most of our long balls ended up with conceding possesion. In these terms he definitely had a big impact. But it still doesn't change the fact our biggest problem is defence. I never saw Bayern being so dominant and creating chances so easily against us in the last 4 years.

Opponents creating so many chances easily, because your midfield is not what it used to be. I don't see that pressing anymore. Your defense had less to do before, now it looks like they're the only barrier to the goal and therefore their weaknesses are being exploited more often.

I agree with Borusse, to me it's the defense that looks as their biggest problem right now. They look just downright childish and amateurish at times, they are all over the place and very rarely they look like a unit that knows what to do. Every play they have to make it looks like they are doing it with tremendous panic, and it's not just against Bayern.

It might be because their counterpressing has decreased though, and yet that's what Klopp wants them to do regardless, which leads to a team that is very often exposed on the back. I said it before, but Klopp needs to re-invent himself a bit, and develop a better posession game to give the team a breather during the games and allow them to get into their formation shape. He can't keep playing this push-at-all-cost strategy all the time, he needs to pick and choose.

I think that's what made Atletico really great last year, and with all due respect to Klopp's work, that 2013-14 season was more successful than anything Dortmund have achieved recently in a single a season alone. Atletico knew how to shift gears very well, they could play very deep for some periods, than try to control possession for a while to slow down th game, and then they had these moments when they would explode on the opposition and press them like crazy. It was very effective to conserve energy especially given how thin their squad really was, much less than Dortmund were at any time since 2010 probably.

Have Bayern Munich destroyed Borussia Dortmund's success ?

Andy Cryer from BBC gives his thoughts on the issue.

That one isn't too bad. There's an appalling one on the Daily Fail.
