Re: Borussia Dortmund

Looking at whats happening in the transfer market I have a new idea for the squad next season:

In:
Ramos (10 mln)
Batshuayi (probably not more than 10 - very young and talented Belgian striker)
Volland (15 mln)
Ginter (10 mln)

Out:
Lewandowski (free)
Gundogan (20-25 mln)
Schieber (1 mln)

We should end the transfer window with aproximately 20-25 million euros spent.

First eleven:
Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer - Bender, Sahin - Volland, Miki, Reus - Ramos

Second eleven:
Langerak - Grosskreutz, Subotic, Sarr, Durm - Ginter, Jojic - Kuba, Hofmann, Aubameyang - Batshuayi

There is also Kehl and maybe Kirch.

Imo its a very strong squad, plenty of options in attack, plenty of possibilities and many young players who can develop nicely in the future.

I would be satisfied with a transfer window like this one.

I don't get that attitude from you... You seem very pessimistic.
Watzke clearly said that BVB wants and will spend big time at the transfer window
"It's no secret: we will invest a lot of money in the transfer market in the summer,"

This amount is definetely above 35m so BVB can replace every whole in their roster. If we consider that BVB spent more than 30m the previous summer and Watzke said that for this summer then your team will invest for player of Dzeko cailber and reputation.I don't think C.Ramos will be the anti-Lewy but more than an exceptional sub striker 10classes above Schieber.

Is there any report on how well BVB is doing in the comercial department? I believe after the CL final there was probably a new influx from fans so probably boosting revenue.

You're looking at it the wrong way. We never really invested money before, we only bought players for the money we earned from selling players. Watzke said it himself. Right now we will "invest big" but we have no idea what that means for Watzke. It might mean even 15 million euros. I dont think we will spend more than 30 million euros.

Gundogan - started running training, if it goes well (which it probably won't, he has genetic back problems) he will maybe start playing before March.
Hummels - he should be back for the game against HSV in two weeks.
Subotic - probably won't play this season.
Kuba - definitely won't play this season and might miss a part of preperation for the next one.
Durm - he had some tigh problems but he should be back in training in few days. Right now he is just running.

Injury update:
Sven Bender - One week out
Marco Reus - Two weeks out

Borusse, the avatar injury jinx only works on players you love. Now that Goetze's moved to Bayern, your changing to his avatar won't injure him: he'll rather probably score a goal or two tomorrow!
