He is playing at Inter, who have been really poor in the last two years.
This season they are already out of the cup, 20 points from top and not in any european competition.

According to my co-worker who is an Inter fan, Ranocchia is only a shadow of his former self and can't quite understand why Dortmund would want him.

Who would have thought in 2010 that we'd be wondering why Dortmund would have any use for an Inter player? :D

Apparently Kloppo has said that Bayern is the best team in Europe and Real Madrid would have zero chances against us. Nice words from him :P

BTW I don't think Ranocchia would be a good buy for Dortmund. I think he's just an average defender and I could be wrong but Serie A CB's didn't do very well in BL in the recent years. Kjaer and Barzagli just came to my mind

Edit: Well, you guys already have Sokratis from Serie A

BVB has signed Ji from Ausburg, so preparing for Gundogan's departure?

Isn't he more a striker than a CM?

Yes probably to give depth since Kehl is retiring? He's joining as a free transfer.

RB Donati is also doing very well at B04 and there is also Caldirola at Werder but I don't think he has impressed that much.

Considering that Dortmund are possibly losing Gundogan, how come there are no rumours of them trying to hijack the deal with Sebastian Rode?

Wouldn't it be hilarious if we get Rode on a free transfer then sell him to Dortmund...

It would be even more hilarious if, after a few years he becomes a great player and we sign him back on a free.

Rannocchia will turn into a bee in few hours or days according to the source below.
