Pretty much what I've been telling from the get go. If Dortmund keep up the CL income then in the coming 5 years you guys would be a very attractive club for a player in terms of spending a whole career. Money is and always will be an issue in football and that problem can be solved only through consistent performance despite whatever may befall you. Even if Reus leaves, it'll not impact much. Unlike Schalke/Wolfsburg/Stuttgart, BVB has a sound management and the leaving of players can only delay but BVB will be on the giants in every sense in the next 5 years.

As for Volland/Ginter,

And Wolfsburg's rise shouldn't go unnoticed. At least not at Schalke.
Gladbach too are here to stay. And I'm hoping they make CL.

The thing is if BVB will keep Reus-Hummels at the summer window transfer,I assume that Gundogan is on his way already to Madrid or another city.
All the other starters I'm sure will wear black n yellow but if Hummels-Reus are leaving it's going to be a collapse, right now they are definetely their pillars and best players along with Lewa-Gundogan.

I wonder whether the same person who suggested Dortmund buy Volland and Ginter was also saying that Bayern destroy the competition a couple of weeks ago.

But yes, good article.

You still dont get it, do you. Nothing wrong in buying within the Bundesliga. Its actually good because you know that the player you purchased has proved his worth in that particular league. Whats "wrong" (not really wrong, just controversial) is buying players from your direct rivals. How is Hoffenheim or Freiburg a direct rival for Dortmund?

Nobody attacked you when you bought Kirchhoff for example. Also nobody will attack you when you'll probably sign Rode from Frankfurt (there will be some people saying this move is stupid because the kid will ruin his career but only from that perspective).

Its sad that you dont see that. Actually, I think you do, you just won't admit it because you're too Mia San Mia. :P

Maybe this is your view, but the view most other people have is, as evidenced by the examples they give, is that any time we buy someone from the Bundesliga it is wrong because we are reducing the chances of a team building a team around that player and eventually challenge us. I find this argument stupid.

Yours is too, because we signed a free agent, not a player from a rival. :P

Gundogan will definitely be leaving Dortmund, and so will Hummels.
Gundogan will probably land somewhere in Spain or maybe England, and Hummels will most definitely land in Barcelona (Not Utd anymore 8) ) , with reasons that everyone probably already knows :P (the weakening defensive line of Barca)
Reus probably won't leave since he is so 'loyal' to BVB, and that leaves just him in the bumblebees shirt for years to come, and once his values shoot up even more, he too will leave Dortmund unless their financial status stabilizes and becomes able to pour more money in.

So Güngogan has bronchitis and Şahin broke his nose? Dortmund's medical insurance is working overtime this season.

I'm surprised that Dortmund has not tried to sign Lassoga by now... He may be the exact striker they want... He certainly has the body... he scores goals even in a team like HSV... and his footwork isn't that bad, is it?

I think they're aiming bigger as is being indicated by their rumoured interest in Benzema and by the words of Klopp.

I saw this rumour a couple of days ago... They said that they may consider swapping him with Gundogan.

BVB are on the verge to sign Inter's CB Ranocchia who will be out of contract by June. Inter want 15m !
According to this article being eligible for the Champs league, Klopp wants him now.
TBH I don't think he is something out of this world and in fact lately he fell victim of a lot of defensive blunders... (when I see him I recall that  2nd round 2nd leg match in the UCL 2011, when he cleared the ball which was rolling on the goal line onto the post)
Ranocchia [source]

If this materialize I think it will kick start a musical chairs of CBs come next Summer...
Hummels a prime target of Barca will head to Catalonia
&
Pique ????????

I haven't heard of Ranocchia in ages. He used to be a good CB. What's become of him?
