I thought it was obvious I was talking in buying him after the season when Lewandowski leaves. The is no reason for us to buy a striker right now.

He is good, but I think he's only a one-season wonder. Lew and Suarez is way better

Borusse wrote:Biggest rumour of the last few months - Bild informed recently (for the second time I believe) that we are strongly interested in Diego Costa. First time I heard about it I laughed really. I dont know, I just dont see a player of his caliber joining us, Im not used to it. But it is technically possible, his buy-out clause is 38 million euros, definitely affordable for us after making it through to the knock-out phase and with good chances of playing in the quarterfinals.

Anyway, its highly unlikely Diego Costa will join us but if he does I will definitely forget about Lewandowski fast. This guy might have a bad temper sometimes but he is a hard-worker and a great footballer. Would be awesome to have him. Management knows we cannot underestimate the threat of Lewandowski's departure. We need to make sure we have a top level player as a replacement.

He would be a great replacement for Lewandowski and it would be good for the Bundesliga if Lewandowski stays in the league and Costa joins it (Costa > Mandzukic). The key lies in going far in the CL, I suppose. Atletico are a very good club, in ways similar to Dortmund. They are keeping up with Barca and Real this season, and if it were me, I would want to stay on for at least another season. But I think it is unlikely they will go far in the CL.

Atletico are also a selling club when it comes to top strikers. It is like they sell one for loads of money every few years and always find another. So it is possible.

I think that is much more likely to happen than Diego Costa.

Im pretty sure we will buy Kevin Volland. However he is not a striker, he is a winger, he says so himself. So I think we will buy Volland + someone, that someone in my opinion will be Edin Dzeko.

Arriving: Edin Dzeko (20~) + Kevin Volland (15~) + Sebastian Rode (free) = - 35 million euros

Leaving: Lewandowski (free) + Schieber (maybe 1) = + 1 million euros

34 million euros spent

First squad:
Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer - Bender, Gundogan - Volland, Mkhitaryan, Reus - Dzeko

Second squad:
Langerak - Grosskreutz, Sokratis, Sarr, Durm - Kehl/Rode, Sahin - Kuba, Hofmann, Aubameyang - Duksch

Of course for us to spend 34 million we would have to once again reach at least the CL semifinal. Then it might be possible. If that won't happen I guess that instead Dzeko we will get a guy like Yilmaz or maybe this guy:

http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/michy ... 79184.html

It is highly likely that our striker next season won't be as good as Lewandowski. So we need to make sure to be stronger on another attacking position. Volland instead of Kuba/Aubameyang on the right wing might be just what we need.

Yilmaz was a one hit-wonder stuff,Klopp is a smart guy,the only way he can sign someone of Yilmaz class is for the bench,if this was the case he could buy Mitroglou which he's even better than Yilmaz and younger.
Well from what Borruse wrote -which are very interesting- the trio of Dzeko/Volland/Rode would be definetely spectacular signings and a good boost,35m for 3 great players aren't too much and I don't agree that BVB must go through semifinals at least,to spend 35m
If I was an assistant at BVB my suggestion for anti-Lewy would be Romelu Lukakku hands down! This guy has unbelievable quality for his age and he just needs a stable enviroment to adjust and not going on loan every year,so Klopp & BVB fits perfectly in my opinion plus that if Lukaku's development it's fine then BVB could sell him for a big load of money.

Borusse, if Gündogan does leave, I think you should reconsider your avatar. It has brought you nothing but pain these past days. :-k

I think you'll have to pay the 1 million for the team willing to take Schieber :|
