He has no release clause, he literally said that after he signed a contract.

That info from Bild just shows what a poor source they are. They only have connections in Bayern but they have little idea what's going on in Dortmund.

Zorc: "Hummels to join Barça next year? That's one of many rumours, which mostly appear to be fake..."

Im sure Mats will stay because he is a different character to Gotze or Lewandowski + he has no stupid clause and has a long-term contract.

Till then, they may have to part with their talents.

The problem is we are in a very strange situation. You're right, if we keep playing on this level for the next 3-4 seasons we will become a "go-to" team. We will be able to pay players much more money etc. But here's the problem. Players like Gundogan, Hummels and Reus and other stars probably won't be patient enough. At the end of the day its all about money. A footballer like Reus could and even should already earn like 8-10 million euros a season looking at his talent. But he is earning 3,5 - 4 in Dortmund.

Dortmund is almost the full package, just without this one important thing - money. We are in a fight for survival at the top level right now. We have to do everything possible to keep our players in the team - that will makes us successful and that will make us more rich. But it will be a very tough task.

35M is no bad deal at all. I see that happening with a chance of 80%.

I have no idea how to put tweets here (help anyone?), anyway:

Hummels' father and agent Hermann Hummels said there is no truth in Bild's story linking him to Barcelona. (via @ThomasHennecke).

For 35M I would fly him myself over to Barcelona. Smack him in the head if he's not smiling on the handover.

35m is way to low if Barca can pay 50m+ for Neymar and PSG paid more for Marquihnos and Silva i would milk Barca for all their worth. 40m+ would be good but any lower and i would have my eyebrows raised...

Well, I'm not saying the BIld story is definitely true. However, everything but denying the rumor would be PR suicide for Borussia Dortmund and Mats Hummels given how early we are into the season. The club has lied about things like that in the past, which is their right and the player has to think about the coming WC as well, both don't want the distractions. They want to work hard and achieve their goals without being asked about Hummels or other players planning to leave.

By the way, BILD did NOT claim that Hummels has a release clause! Only that there is a verbal agreement in place.

Hummels was always an honest player, always fair to the club and fans, selfcritical when needed. When everybody else was looking for release clauses and didnt want to extend their contracts Hummels signed a long-term deal with Dortmund, without a buy-out clause, without demands for super high wages. If there is one thing I believe in then I believe in Hummels, he is a true Borusse.

If there was an agreement with Barca Hummels would say it, Im 100% sure of it. He said that there is no topic though, his father said the same. Its definitely enough for me. If it was about Gundogan or even Reus, I would have my doubts, but I dont have any in this case.

Still doesnt work. Where do I get the tweet URL from?

Anyway, Reus, Hofmann and Sahin are back in team training. Schmelzer and Bender are expected to be back either tomorrow or on Friday. Kehl can make it to the Ruhr Derby next weekend. We somehow handled the injuries.

Edit: Works!

That actually would be THE biggest football dissapointment of my life. Hummels is my favourite player and it would be almost impossible to accept this loss.

But to be clear - I am prepared for him leaving someday. Just not after this season.

What, more than last season's Champions League final? You would rather not having won the CL and keeping Hummels than having won the CL and subsequently losing Hummels?
