I have a huge liking for Bundesliga. Bayern are a part of Bundesliga so I kind of very very slightly like them too. But very very slightly so dont get your hopes up.

That picture shows how important this game was for him and the team, the trophy itself was practically meaningless but to win against Bayern few months after the CL final was very important for the players and gave them a positive boost. :)

I experienced something similar yesterday, before the game I thought it doesnt matter much but while watching it I realised how important this game is for Dortmund. For Bayern not so much maybe, but for Dortmund players to get out there and show what they are made of. This trophy should give the team positive energy, at least that is what I hope for.

It's a good thing that Bayern lost for the Bundesliga as a whole. Even if the circumstances were far from ideal, it shows every team in Germany that Bayern is not invincible and that taking points from us is possible. But most importantly, just as you said, apart from winning the 'cup' and the cash, it gives Dortmund that positive energy they need to give their all in this season.

Exactly. It was the same situation in reverse last year.

I'd believe your protestation if you didn't have 1,500 messages tallied up.
Quite frankly Borusse, you put me to shame.

I agree completely. After we hadn't beaten Bayern all of last year, this win provided a great morale booster right before the start of the season. You could see all the players were delighted. It was obviously very important for the team to win this game.

On top of that, had Bayern beaten us again, especially on our own turf, the press would unanimously be bemoaning the lack of competitiveness in our league, declaring that no team is capable of challenging Bayern and asserting that the Bundesliga race is over before it has even begun, no doubt about it. Our win was a statement of intent, we've reminded everyone that we can still compete with the boys in red, even without Gotze.
