Importing young Brazilian playmakers hasn't been a good idea for quite some time now.

For your sake, that would be great news. But isn't it the fact that Gundogan has a release clause that BVB are trying to extend his contract ASAP?

No, he has no buy-out clause, it was confirmed by Dortmund.

I thought Reus had a clause that activates in 2014?

In 2015 I think. But its two years from now so he is staying.

Lucas cost over 40 million. In what way was that deal "a good idea"?

Coutinho's deal could be an example for a good idea. Though he came very early.
Obviously, if Dortmund have to pay 20m, I don't believe they will. Around 12m should be good enough.

For that money, you could have bought one of Reus, Götze, Isco, Mata, Shaqiri, Kagawa. And in most cases have money left over.

I cant deny that but i believe in two years or even a year €40m will sound like a steal for this kid. If i know my history PSG bought a very talented Brazilian back in the day, granted he wasnt €40m but probably one of the best players ever....

I was going to post Diego's name just to upset everyone but I just remembered his jean shopping trips were anything but inflammatory. Other than that, and his age, he would make a good playmaker I think for the bees.

yeah that's kinda my point, mate. The golden age of the brazilian trequartista is over.

(I'm writing a paper on football tactics and Wilson's Inverting The Pyramid, one of the sources I'm using, has convinced me of it :P )
