Hahaha that's the whole point. Borusse hates Mandzukic as hell because of those "foul" faces he makes, whereas we hate Grosskreutz for being ugly as hell and that's the ugliest picture I could find :P

We start coming up with the bets for the grand finale ;)

I don't get why do all Dortmund players want to leave.

If we have a German final in the CL it would be pretty obvious that Dortmund is back to the elite in Europe. So playing for Dortmund you have

- Great supporters
- Good wages
- Great football
- Great team
- Top 3 league
- CL football every season
- Solid long term project
- Key player in this great team

I don't get why Lewandowski, Götze and co want to leave but it's sad

I guess the wage could be a big factor here.
I don't believe however Gotze could switch for only wages. He could have waited a year or even two. IMO, it's the Pep factor, false 9, the NT and '14 WC that have had a combined effect on his switch. Also, being a Bavarian I guess he might have thought of it during his kid days.
Though I believe, Lewa could be inspired by money. :?
The problem is in Dortmund Gotze, Lewa, Reus and Hummels probably are the highest paid and they get around 5-6m a year. Correct me if I'm wrong. :)
If you think logically there are several players who earn more than that in other places and he is probably thinking to move along now for the raise. He's 24. If he extends for 3-4 years, then there would be no sense in moving when he'll be 28. If he moves on now he'll probably be offered around 10m a year. So there's that obvious factor. I am not sure Watzke or Zorc would agree to pay such a huge amount to a single player annually.
Sahin moved due to the Real Madrid attraction plus Mou. It's the most attractive destination for players. It always has been. If Real comes calling, players leave their clubs.
Kagawa's was a case of exposure and fame. I remember reading an interview where Klopp said that Kagawa is moving because it has been a childhood dream of his. Well, only because PL has had an excellent exposure in Asia and people in Japan identified ManUre more than Dortmund.
Gundogan too might leave but maybe 1-2 years later. With RM, Barca and MU all keeping tabs on him. He'll fit in any where.
The EPL and Real fascination has almost always worked. So does Barca now. :|

I think these players just grew up in times of Galacticos, great Premierleague and magic Barca. Nobody heard about Dortmund at the time, just another average team. I think its just hard for players to realise we are or can be the part of elite. They want to fullfill their dreams of playing for the greatest sides. Dortmund will MAYBE overcome this issue in 3-4 years time if we manage to qualify for quarterfinals/semifinals every year and stay in TOP2 in the league.

Yea i think the BIG name factor plays a bigger role than just wages. Cause when you think about what young person(18-28) doesnt want to play for one of the Spanish giants, Man U, Milan or Bayern. These teams have been kings of Europe for decades now and not many players would give up a chance to play for those teams when they come calling....

So only way for Dortmund to be one of the top clubs long-term is to win Champions League this season + win it once again in the next few years. :D

Be nice and give us the trophy.

But seriously, it is true we are kind of victims of our own success. The sporting success came way too quickly for us to cope with. Our players do deserve better wages right now.

What you're saying is that this would beat losing to weakest Champions League winner ever (Chelsea), in YOUR OWN STADIUM, in front your own fans, being 1-0 just few minutes before the final whistle and wasting a penalty in extra-time? I would call THAT the darkest day ever, but whatever. :P

Personally, it would definitely be depressing to lose in the final against Bayern but after some time Im sure I would realise that this team did something incredible anyway. But I hope that if we go to Wembley, we will win it.

I think that's normal
May be I am astonished by a locally raised player as Goetze and his attitude in leaving the team at this point is really so bad
But for the others it's normal as they will always look for a higher reputated team
I think it's like 99% of the players thinking the same way
Okay they say yes we are great now and so on But there is no confidence in the club at the long run , while other top reputated team as Real,Barca,Manu,Bayern and so on always do good in the long run.

So they see it as a more guaranteed chance qnd also they think that it may not come again
Money play a role but it isnot the cornerstone in the case IMO
It's as Borusse saying the aim should be to be a top reputated team which team long time and consistency

Or to be a spending mad man as the case in PSG and city which is a disgusting way
