Re: Borussia Dortmund

Now that I actually think about it... it's kinda weird how few of Dortmund's starting XI are actually their academy players. (the ages might be a year younger or older, but it doesn't really matter in context of the point I'm trying to make)

Weidenfeller joined at 22 from Kaiserslautern
Piszczek joined at 25 from Hertha
Subotic joined at 20 from Mainz
Hummels joined... where did Hummels come from anyway, huh?
Schmelzer joined at 17, putting him on par with the "soft" products from our academy like Alaba and Kroos.
Gündogan joined at 21 from Nürnberg (and spent most of his youth career in Gelsenkirchen)
Bender joined at 20 from 1860
Kuba joined at 22 from Wisla
Götze is a true academy product... on his way to Bayern.
Reus rejoined just last year after being thrown out by the Dortmund academy during his youth career.
Lewandowski joined at 22 from Poznan.

That's one actual youth academy player (who will leave), one "late" player in Schmelzer and one reject in Reus. Methinks that the talk about Dortmund's powerful youth academy might be a bit of a myth. Even Grosskreutz was away for three years before being re-purchased. Compare that to Schweini, Lahm, Holger, Müller, and Kroos and Alaba...
The ideal team

--------Müller with gloves--------
-Müller--Müller--Müller--Müller--
-------Müller---------Müller-------
----Müller----Müller----Müller----
---------------Müller---------------

There was talk about Dortmund's youth academy? We do have SOME talents there but the talk is mainly about:

a) Scouts looking for those talents
b) Klopp making stars out of them

Firefox, what the hell are you still talking about? You compare us buying some anonymous talents to you taking Gotze from us? It will be better for you just to not write anything more about this subject. I stopped already, you continue it...

I agree like i said in numerous posts every club is a bad guy, so i your harsh words to Bayern are unfair cause Dortmund have dine the same to other clubs. Players like Subotic and Gundogan were just as important to there respective team as Gotze was to BvB. Im not trying to say Bayern are any worse or any better.

That would be a brilliant if they could sign Eriksen. Then Dortmund could sign Dzeko too

Still not official but I hope its true. Good player, would be an interesting option in midfield. I hope we can bring some of those guys to Dortmund:

Eriksen, Herrmann, Schurrle, Dzeko, Jovetic, Jung - signing one or two of them would make me happy.

I'd LOVE seeing Jovetic in yellow, would bring the spice back into the BL.

Nice signing! I would hate to see De Bruyne waste away at Chelsea :D
