It's just the BVB seniors unsuccessfully trying to climb up the food chain. Nothing new there ;)

Yes yes, Mo. Im with you.

About climbing the food chain, apparently Hoeness thinks Bayern are back at the top in Germany. May I ask when were you ever not at the top? Because in these last two years all your dear Uli was saying was that Bayern are still the best. :P So how can you be BACK at the top? Oh, silly Hoeness. :)

No more smack talk from me, Ive had enough.

He had a lot of opportunites to give us credit in the past, preferred to act like a jerk instead. Now that Bayern is winning he thinks its the right time? Too little too late.

You do know Hoeness doesn't give one iota of a flying crap about what Dortmund fans think, right?

Everything. You act as if it is important to Hoeness whether or not he acts like a "jerk", whereas I doubt the idea even enters his thought process at all.

What Hoeness says is almost always aimed inside. As you said, he now gives credit to Dortmund while not doing so before. Why would he do that you wonder? Because it makes the winning team (Bayern) look even stronger. It's a compliment to Bayern, it has nothing to do with Dortmund. Similarly, when Bayern lost to Dortmund, his words helped take the pressure off the losing team and put them either on himself or Dortmund. It's this weird way he has of shielding the squad - protecting them from external (media, mostly) pressure while subjecting them to internal pressure. Has been the modus operandi for him for quite a while.

... although some cynics just say he's lost it. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

You sure those words helped your team? I didnt notice... Until he was "taking pressure of Bayern" you were losing everything you could. When he finally stopped talking and let the team do their job in peace Bayern started to get results.

Now you're reading way too much into it. If Uli were personally responsible for every result Bayern's had, I'd start sacrificing goats to him for he is obviously omnipotent.

So Klopp comes out and apologises. [source]

Good thing I guess.
Mind games are different things and teams usually do it before a match is played. After the match they are nothing but words of a sore loser.

As for Uli's comments last year, he didn't insult in the same manner. He spoke the truth when he said that Bayern have more of global impact than Dortmund have. Surely, you guys are rising up the ladder quickly now. Good for you.

That's nice dear Kloppy. A battle with this old-timer is not a good idea:

Huge win for BVB financially; Bild quote the Shakhtar game at being worth €10m between prize money, TV, ticket sales et. al.
