What Hoeness says is almost always aimed inside. As you said, he now gives credit to Dortmund while not doing so before. Why would he do that you wonder? Because it makes the winning team (Bayern) look even stronger. It's a compliment to Bayern, it has nothing to do with Dortmund. Similarly, when Bayern lost to Dortmund, his words helped take the pressure off the losing team and put them either on himself or Dortmund. It's this weird way he has of shielding the squad - protecting them from external (media, mostly) pressure while subjecting them to internal pressure. Has been the modus operandi for him for quite a while.
... although some cynics just say he's lost it. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
You sure those words helped your team? I didnt notice... Until he was "taking pressure of Bayern" you were losing everything you could. When he finally stopped talking and let the team do their job in peace Bayern started to get results.
