Do you think you have a realistic chance of lifting the CL trophy in Berlin? If not, what positions need to be strengthened?

Define realistic. :D

Very difficult to say, Dortmund are capable of beating anyone on a good day so I guess we do have a chance, but teams like Bayern, Barca, Real (or Chelsea if you look at their transfers) definitely have a bigger chance of winning than we do.

It will depend on many aspects:
- If we stay out of injury trouble then sky is the limit. I believe that if we would have had all players to our disposal against Real we would have been able to knock them out in the quarterfinals last season.
- If players like Miki, Auba and Immobile are in good form.

There is a chance, not a great one, but there definitely is one.

What positions need to be strenghened? Difficult to say. Do we count Gundogan? If not, then we need a deep-lying playmaker because Sahin just won't cut it.
I also need to see how Miki, Auba and Immobile play before I can say if we need new transfers there. If they play well for the entire season then of course we won't need any transfers.

Subotic is doing brilliantly, Kuba is still not fit enough to play in test games, he should be back soon.

Borusse wrote:We will be fine. Simple logic suggests it. For half a season we had to play without Kuba, Subotic, Bender, Schmelzer or Piszczek, we also had to deal with injuries of Hummels or Kehl for long periods. Not to mention Gundogan who missed the entire season and it came as a shock to us, we had to learn to play completely differently. Yet somehow, despite all those hurtful losses, we managed to play in CL quarterfinals, secure 2nd place in BL and play in the Pokal final.

How are we looking right now? Lets look at the losses - we only lost Lewandowski. Great striker no doubt, but still only one player who is not Messi or Ronaldo, he is not irreplaceable.

Lets look at what we gained:
- Two good and proven strikers on high league level. At least one of them should be able to score goals regularly.
- We also bought Ginter, very young and very promising german talent. Already proven on the Bundesliga level.
- Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang with one year of experience in the Bundesliga. It's very normal in Dortmund that our players start playing their best football in their second season - both Miki and Auba are already showing signs of great improvement in the pre-season.
- Comeback of Subotic - his first games in the preseason and he already plays like old times.
- Piszczek playing like his old-self - very confident, very dynamic.
- Bender playing like his old-self as well.

Im surprised that Dortmund fans still give Mkhitaryan a chance!
Aubameyang reminds me of a chicken without a head, runs without a purpose!

Im tired of dortmund fans saying"we dont have the money like bayern" because thats bullshit nowadays after record earnings the last 4 years, and no big signing this year all i can say is Dortmund say hello to the new #2 Wolfsburg!
Bender is possibly finished, hopefully is grosskreutz motivated with a döner , some things even the great klopp cannot do and oh, next season will be even worse when hummels jumps the boat!

Lets just compare Dortmund squad from the first quarter of 2014 and the squad we will start the season with:

April 2014:
First squad:

Substitutes:

------------
August 2014:
First squad:

Second squad:

And Im not even counting Gundogan. Do you see the difference? It's huge. We have a very competetive group of players and I believe we will be fine.
Statistics are like miniskirts . What they reveal is tantalizing, but what they hide is crucial.

If Kagawa is back in the market, do you want BVB to take him back?

Who is your next 'kapitan', Borusse?

Hummels or Weidenfeller?

We don't know yet, I'd like Hummels to take the armband.
