Who do you want to coach Bayern if Pep leaves ?

Postby ottackon » Fri Aug 07, 2015 8:09 pm

The question is a bit premature because we don't know yet if Pep is going to whether extend his contract or not, but it would be great to know who do you think is the right man to coach Bayern and achieve more success.

I'd really like to see what Pep does this year before casting him aside, but my preference for the next trainer would probably be Favre. Klopp would also be interesting, but I'm concerned he's more of a "one-trick pony".

My choice would be pochettino!
My priority order:
1. Pochettino:Young dynamic and smart in the transfer market.Also..promotes youngsters!I think he has the spark..tottenham scored 5 past mourinho..with chadli and lamela..amazing..he can coach us for many years and will be very happy with the job!
2. Ancelotti:**** the bundesliga **** the pokal..I want the UCL.
3. Jurgen Klopp: passionate..german..wants the job..promotes youngsters..can win the ucl but a bit one-dimensional!
4. Guardiola stays..
5. Ronald Koeman: Marvellous..Southampton were scanvenged by LFC,Arsenal,ManU etc. after 2013-14 but..we all know what happened!

I think I want a German manager to be at Bayern again so Klopp is my first choice

I vote for Favre,I like him and I like his style of play and seems a down to earth person,he kind reminds of Heynckes a coach for underdogs but marvelous tactics and his 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formations where perfection at Gladbach considering his roster, plus that he works with young players!
Maybe he is a Swiss but has a German-ish philosophy and mentality to his team.

Second choice from the league will be Weinzerl, just look what he did with Augsburg, outstanding job and he is German but still yoo young and making at this point a leap to a club such as Bayern, dunno seems way too early.

But let's be honest, when Ancelloti & Klopp are available,Bayern board can't look the other way.

I don't think there is currently an available coach out there who can lead us to be better glories than Pep. Personally, I hope Pep stays for a couple more seasons, but if he is to leave I'd like to see Roger Schmidt as our next manager.

I voted for Ancelotti, He is a cup specialist and he might be the one to bring the UCL trophy home if Pep doesn't. And bringing another high profile (internationally speaking) coach will build our ability to attract top players.

I am not too sure about Klopp. He struggled against opponents who defended deep and with Bayern's reputation, opponents will park the bus even more. If Pep couldn't break many (or some) of the deep defenses, I don't think that Klopp can. He loves being the underdog, a position he won't find at Bayern.

Favre is most likely committed to BMG. I read an interview of his in which he was talking about 2 to 3 seasons ahead. Here's a quote from
the interview [source]
:
Spoiler: show
We're all really looking forward to the upcoming season, but for Borussia, 2016/17 is already very important, and 2017/18 is even more important. How we do this year in the Champions League does not determine the future of Borussia Mönchengladbach, it's what we do today to prepare for the future that matters because we all know what happens every summer at Gladbach.

EDIT:
Ideally, pep wins the UCL this season, extends for a few seasons, throws out Alonso, brings back Basti and makes Lahm 23 year old again.

Roger Schmidt and Thomas Tuchel are my favorites among the Germans. I hope too that Pep stays until we can let Schmidt or Tuchel take charge.

Weinzierl and Favre are no-gos.

A question for those favoring the German coaches like Shmidt and Weinzierl: What do you think of Hecking? He has done good stuff over at Wolfsburg and plays good attacking football.

Difficult. The main reason why I'm not in the "Rauser"-camp despite all the doubts I'm having is that I don't know who I'd like to succeed.

Klopp at this point is an absolute no-go for me. Not saying that this will remain so forever but right now I don't want him at Bayern or any other Bundesliga team. Mourinho and Simeone and Jardim are no-goes too, I don't like how they have their teams play. Pellegrini I wouldn't trust either, I find it absolutely unconvincing what he's achieved at City despite having more or less unlimited funds available. Wenger is far too old (I find some of the choices odd anyway).

Kind of undecided what to think of Ancelotti or Allegri.

What does everyone have against Luis Enrique? I really like where he's been taking Barca.

Among the Germans/German speaking managers, it's Favre for me or Schmidt (as different as they are). With Favre I have my doubts whether he can handle the media circus though; he seems kinda thin-skinned with these things. Weinzierl or Tuchel are too unproven on the international stage for me. Hecking is another one with whom I don't know what to think.

I entirely agree on Simeone, and Mourinho. Tuchel gives me a good vive despite not having the experience (and he might get it with BVB). Hecking I find entirely unconvincing: with that squad he should have won the EL. I don't share your reservations against Klopp, a year off could refresh him a lot.
