Given the personnel we have, there is some room for improvement on the offensive front. However, we were still one of the better teams out there this year when it came to set-pieces.

On the defensive end, I guess it's pretty much sorted out.

The additions of Dante and Martinez(who almost scored one in the UCL Final) have made Bayern better offensively.....

Oh look! It's the Set Piece Debate again. :D

I love how, when a team has two guys guarding the posts, and one of them clears the ball from the line, the commentators and pundits all go in unison, "And that's why you put guys on the posts". When a team that does not have those two guarding the post creates a majority in the box and clears the ball before it can get anywhere near their post in the first place, I don't hear anyone saying, "And that's why you don't put guys on the post".

The reality is, set pieces aren't 100% defensible. Period. You will concede goals from them no matter what you do. You will score on them, too. You can obviously influence your theoretical success rate offensively, as well as defensively, but the actual outcomes are heavily impacted by variance.

Are we still discussing this? Aren't the CL QFs, SFs, final and above all, the three CUPs proof enough that we've improved vastly. :P
