Then again, Bayern could opt for Guardiola's tactic towards this. No corners, no problem.

One of the problems, that a few EPL teams don´t have is the lack of tall players, but this aside, because the quality of a Lahm at the moment means, there are very few corners from his side!
Something i would like to see practiced more is Neuer commanding the box!
I know it is much more difficult nowadays because the ball is hit much harder, but its still possible
Statistics are like miniskirts . What they reveal is tantalizing, but what they hide is crucial.

That's just a fluke. Corner set pieces are all about concentration and we lacked that while 7-0 up in an unimportant Bundesliga game and the Arsenal goal was goalkeeper lackluster. Happens to the best.

It's just the media searching for a matter they can rub into our face.

You conceded a goal with us (Dortmund) from a corner and also against Chelsea. So there - important games. You should really put some people on the posts.

^ @Borusse : You do know that if we stopped the corner goals then we'd be invincible! :P
I'd better have a vulnerability because invincibility seems to do a number on us when least expect it. :|
Also, you guys conceded against us from outside the box then that should infer that your CBs and CDMs are worthless or suck at defending(in your own words) .

Most teams concede from open plays. Nobody seems to point that out. Not even Barca, RM, MU and Dortmund have shown such defensive stability as shown by us. In simple words, D-WALL. And Juve had many opportunities from corners but they couldn't convert any. Bygones are bygones.
So I would rather not dwell much into this observation which is being sensationalized far more than it needs to be.

Not all corners, just the North-Eastern one at the Allianz Arena ;)

Blabla,

The Chelsea goal would have happened either way unless you put van Buyten on the post so thats bollocks.

The Dortmund goal from Götze had nothing to do with people at the posts either because it was a shot from 10-12 meters

And if Arsenal hadn't put those two guys near the posts Müller would have been offside in the first leg. There are advantages and disadvantages to both solutions.

Please think about what you're writing before hit submit a little. It's almost painful.

Its about your players doing their job right which they are not. On corners of course. No one is perfect.

I have to agree with Quaazi there, very much so.
The problem is: Players stick to their position, fall asleep until the delivery, then when the ball goes in they jump in their position and hope for the best.
When really, they should be: Stick to your position (and man), keep with their movements, track them, run at them before jumping.
This isn't really the best way of putting it, but it's simply the problem simplified.
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

Mark your man and stick 2 people on the posts. It's quite simple really.

So where was that big corner kick problem at the end of the season again?

What we saw against Hamburg and away at Arsenal were momentary lapses in judgment and concentration which happens. It had nothing to do with us defending the set pieces badly.

We didn't need two men at the posts either for that. The stile without men on the posts works, because it prohibits easy poaching goals from second ball opportunities.

Yes defensively in the last 3 months or so we didn't have any trouble. I don't think we ever conceded from a corner again. Offensively we are still not that dangerous though. Becoming more dangerous from set pieces will be one of Guardiola's biggest challenges, and one of the few ways he can improve this team.
